Description:

In this swap you send 3 vintage postcards in an envelope to 1 partner. The cards must be unwritten and in quite good condition, please no damaged ones. They can show each and anything, landscape, buildings, cities, animals, even advertisements, but they have to be really old not these new-printed imitations of old ones. This is my first try for such a swap, so I don't want to be too restrictive, but that is an important requirement. It's sender's choice, but if you like and be able to you may consider your partner's wishes. Please add a note where you tell something about the cards (where did you find them, what do they show, something like that). The rating requirement is 4.8. No 1's or 3's in the last three months, at least no unexplained one's. I allow unrated swappers because I remember my own start here very well (not so long ago). But PLEASE: NO FLAKERS!

If you receive three old postcards and the requirements are fulfilled you'll have to rate a 5, even if you do not like the cards.

So: 3 cards to 1 partner. Quite easy! Let's swap!

So anything pre-1980 is OLD??? I better drag my OLD self upstairs to look out some cards from my Dad's old postcard collection :)

REALLY OLD = pre 1980? what does that make me? i was born in 1955. Guess I'm a dinosaur!!! ;>) Sorry, not being mean. Just had to laugh!

Of course I didn't want to offend anyone. I myself am from 1961. Let's say my incomplete English-knowledges are to be blamed. And of course you may send really old cards, f.e. pre 19something. ;-)

I just found a wonderful site on the Internet that sells postcard books. Their choices are endless and prices are reasonable. They also accept PayPal. Take a look at.... www.Pomegranate.com

Thanks Suelle!! I have trouble finding regular postcards here in Canada! Do you? I can generally buy them at the Post Office but they are pre-stamped and COST a fortune!!

Have you tried at the second hands books shops? I use to buy lots of antique postcards (used or not) in these shops... But it's Spain...
