Description:

This is a simple swap for U.S. swappers only (I'm researching further about nondenominational stamps to see if an international version is doable in the future!).

Send a letter to two partners using at least one previously unused alphabet rate stamp as postage. This link provides a table of values and pictures of all the stamps that will be allowed in this swap.

Please consider the spirit of this group. Be articulate, and send something with a little pizzaz! Maybe use a fountain pen or a typewriter, send a postalette or fold-n-mail, make a greeting card or decorate your envelope, use other old stamps or mailing labels! Just send something that shows you care.

  • A letter is loosely defined, but try to cover at least one side of an A4 page. Use your neatest handwriting or a typewriter!
  • We encourage hand cancelling, but it's not required. Ask your postal pal to put your hand-cancelled letter aside to be sorted so it won't get spray cancelled by the machinery. THIS CAN BE DONE! :D
  • This is sender's choice, but it's always nice to read profiles.
  • Be sure to include your username and the swap name so you can be rated.

Fun idea! When I get home I need to visit a local stamp hobby club place I know of and finally buy some stamps from the past and use them.

"Stamps from the Past". Hee hee. That sounds funny!
