Everyone made such wonderful mermaid dotees for the last swap, I've decided to host one myself. you will have one partner. Make them a mermaid themed dotee doll. Be sure that you put alot of thought and work into your dotees. Make something that you would love to receive. Once you've finished your Mermaid, post pictures of it in my Mermaid Dotee Doll group on flickr: http://www.flickr.com/groups/651748@N24/ -OR- find some inspiration there for making your mermaid I will be checking everyone's profile before assigning partners! this swap is INTERNATIONAL. WHOOO HOOO, my little mermaid dotee needs a freind...the one I got in the last swap is so cute...but she's kinda lonely, I forgot to make an extra for myself last time, so this time I'm going to make 2....and they can all hang out together over my craft table.

Can you please tell me, do the mermaids need a beaded tail as well as their cloth tail? A lot of pictures I've seen on Flickr do not have the beaded tail but I thought Dotee's were supposed to have a beaded tail? I want to make sure my mermaid is made properly. (Perhaps the cloth tail counts as a tail?)

I have my little mermaid ready to swim to her new home. She's soooo cute! Hope her new mom loves her too. :)I'm addicted to dotees! What a fun one to make.

I always add a beaded tail to my mermaid dotees, as that's a "trademark" of the dotee.
