Description:

Let's make a pocket book journal but with a twist. Here are the details:

  • 10 pages (front and back count as one page). The two covers will make it a total of 12 pages.
  • 10 pockets
  • Covers must be at least 5"X7". Pages can be all the same or many different sizes - that's up to you.
  • Cardstock weight paper or better for the pages
  • Binding - your choice
  • Theme - open, sender's choice
  • Decorate the cover completely.
  • Only light decoration on the pages; leave it a blank canvas for the recipient.
  • Insert at least four tags, cards, etc., into pockets.

The twist:

Pockets may not be made from cardstock, envelopes or pocket patterns. Look around you and use other items for pockets. Your pockets can, however, be mounted to cardstock pages. Let's try to make pocket journals that are fun and different from the usual.

I will angel for those who don't receive a swap.

Swap requirements: You'll need to have a rating of 4.90 or better and a well filled-out profile so that your partners will have an idea of what you'd like. Newbies are welcome with a completed profile. No recent or unexplained 1s or 3s. No flakers. I will consider those with a lower rating with personal communication before sign-up.

Please PM me if you have any questions.

What are the size parameters?

Lishmo 09/ 7/2012 #

A pocket on each page then, right? Don't laugh. :)

Or a pocket in between each page? I'm dense this morning.

@Lishmo - however you want to do the pockets is fine. The idea is to be creative and not make "traditional" pockets.

@Jess79 - the covers should be at least 5"X7". The page size is up to you. The pages don't even have to even be the same size.

Thank you! On my watch list. :)

Is it some kind of "amy tangerine daybook"?

Some of those pockets would qualify. I didn't have any specific look in mind. This swap is designed to make us think "outside the box."
