Description:

One of the operative words in Artist Trading Cards is the TRADING part. So let's do that. You'll have three partners. Send each partner three ATCs from your collection. Send quality, not something that you're just trying to get rid of. (And yes, some of the ones you send can be made by you.)

When all of the ATCs are traded you'll have 9 new ones for your own collection, enough to fill a page of a collection sheet.

I marked this as a Type 3 in the event there are ATCs that aren't completely flat.

I review all profiles before partners are assigned.

Snail mail. International. Newbies welcome with a completed profils. Rated players should have a 4.85 or higher.

I believe that ATCs are always a level 3 item due to the "Craft" part. I always see them listed as such. ^_^

@ARTG33K74 is totally right. ATCs are always a type 3. Even if there is only one and its flat. I actually think quite a few intensive journal and letter swaps should be threes because writing is a craft too.

creating ATCs is a 3, but I have seen trading existing ATCs as a 3 and as a type 2 since it is just putting something in the mail.

This sounds like alot of fun. I'm loving getting mail. And now I'm hooked on ATC's.

Can you explain the what a type three is?

LindaTemple 10/11/2012 #

I hope you will allow me to participate! I have a huge collection of ATCs and have had to separate the ones I've made from the ones collected from swaps. It's fun to trade them.

@Pollybostik this is from the site FAQ. (to see more FAQ and more info scroll to the bottom of this page)

What do the three different swap types mean?

Type 1 - Electronic - All electronic-only swaps fall under this type. Swaps of email letters or surveys, e-cards, blog links, Etsy favorites, Flickr favorites, digital photography, etc. Email swaps are any swaps that are done over the internet and do not require postage.
Type 2 - Flat Mail - Mail swaps that only require one or two postage stamps, like postcards, letters, and other postal mail swaps with little, to no, craft component.
Type 3 - Crafts and Packages - Any time-intensive craft swaps or swaps that must be mailed in a package. Most swaps will fall under this type. Anything sent in a box, bubble mailer, or large envelope is a Type 3.
