Description:

Better late than never !!

You will be keeping a journal for the month of December. The catch for this journal is that you can only write one sentence for each day. You can write a very important thought you had that day, something wonderful or awful that happened that day, a summary of your day...write whatever you want for that day as long as it is only one sentence. Please make your sentence more than three words too; make it interesting so your partner has something interesting to read.. If you 'had a bad day', write why.. if you 'had a good day', write why.. in one sentence..

Please do not just write a quote for each day..

Since we will only be writing one sentence, we will be keeping our journal in a mini composition book or one of similar dimensions. You may even make your own if you like as long as it's small...pocket size.

*Please decorate the cover of your journal; it doesn't have to be elaborate, just make it look nice. Don't be thinking you need to paint the Sistine Chapel on the cover.. sticker slap if you want.. just put something on it - and the month/year

I think this will be a fun and wonderful way to journal our month of December, especially if you are a busy person and don't have the time to write a whole page. Add something small from your day if you wish too.. decorate the pages if you wish.. whatever floats your boat.. ! It is your choice..

I am making this swap international because since these small notebooks are so light, the postage won't be much at all.

Do not join if you have the slightest doubt that you will be able to commit to this. If you have 1's or 3's within the last three months, PM me and I will look into it.

I reserve the right to drop people from the swap without comment, for safety of my swappers. The reasons may be right or they may be wrong, but I would rather be safe than sorry. I will angel swaps..

I have a slim approximately 4x6 note booklet with 14 pages. If I write one descriptive sentence per day I can use one page for more than one day, even with the sentence being more than 3 words! Will that work? Is that basically what you're looking for?

Where does anyone find mini comps? There have been a few swaps that I would like to join, but that require mini comps, and I am unable to find them anywhere reasonably priced!

I cant get them here either.. and the ones someone sent me fell apart! I either make a small book or i use a small notebook.. as long as it is small, it wont be a problem..

I get my mini comp books from the dollar store. They come in a pack of 2 for $1. I've also gotten a few more decorative one's from Tuesday Morning that are more than $1.

Well, here they sell mini composition books at the grocery store for 69 cents each. That's where I got mine. But they also have them at office supply stores, for maybe $1-$2 each.

If anyone needs extra mini comp books/mini journals... I probably have more than I need... I could do a private swap for some blank ones :)

any one have a link for a mini composition book i dont think we have them in Australia? we have Brands like Jasart Visual diaries, Derwent Sketch books, and Marbig Watercolour journals. they can be hard cover soft cover spiral or not. Office paper being 80gsm and watercolour more then 500gsm.

or are you looking for a notebook something cheap and nasty form the $2.00 shops?

siouxx05 11/28/2012 #

I have been using a little spiral-bound notebook available from Big W or Officeworks for under $2 each.. and they are better built than the comp books I was sent..! and being so cheap, I dont really mind that I'm not using all the pages..

I'm from Oz too and am wishing we had quarter-sized exercise books (ie, stapled). But if we do they evade me! If you're in Sydney you'll find a great, assorted range in the (awesome) stationery section of Kinokuniya in Galeries Victoria - kitty corner to the Town Hall, and upstairs. I think I have a gorgeous mini notebook from there - definitely pocket-sized. If not I think I'll make a little cutie. I love these swaps! :)

OMG, so cute! :)

If you're like me and you like to know dimensions, a mini comp book is 4.5" x 3.5". This equates to 11.43cm x 8.89cm.
