Description:

Send to two partners, each an envelope of ephemera. One definition of ephemera is, "a class of collectable items not originally intended to last for more than a short time, such as tickets, posters, postcards, or labels."

Include bits of paper that are interesting and random like music sheets, pages from old books, advertising that is old or not in your native language, neat and interesting wrappers, pretty designs, vintage postcards etc.

Pop as much ephemera goodies as you can into DL sized envies (11x22cm or 4x9") and post off to your partners.

All welcome with reasonably good ratings and filled out profiles. Originally created by @NorthernBorder but she has given me permission to run these swaps now :)

Would someone tell me what exact items can be included in this swap, because I'm not sure yet what to send?

saellys 01/ 9/2013 #

Mandragora, my envelopes include mostly found items (raffle tickets, hall passes from a high school, old fashioned due date cards from discarded library books, fake currency, vintage photographs, and the like) along with a couple instant photos and some interesting bits of packaging (not trash--things someone could actually use in a collage, ATC, or piece of mailart). I hope that helps you!

Can't wait to see who my partners are!

if I got it correctly, it should be like old or already used papers or postcards? If I'm wrong then please kill me

hi @mandragora yes...interesting bits of paper that can either be old or used (bus ticket, map, advertising with interesting typography or picture, etc).

thank you @saellys for the explanation :)

Shaunta 01/ 9/2013 #

hi :) Just want to make sure . . . a DL envelope is a regularly business-sized envelope?

saellys 01/10/2013 #

Yup, 4" x 9".

memtree 01/13/2013 #

yes @shaunta and thanks again @saellys for your help :)

Shaunta 01/13/2013 #
