ATC Background Papers Swap - USA only

I like to cut the papers I send a little bigger than 2.5" x 3.5", is that okay?

The reason I do this is when I make ATCs, I glue the paper down to a stiff backing and then trim off the extra; it ensures the backing gets covered all the way, without having to fussily position the paper.

I like to paint my backgrounds. More arty that way, rather than craft. Just saying.

I don't have that kind of talent @Lizard :( I'm not good with painting! I'm kind of new to ATCs but love seeing other people's work!

@Lizard I paint my backgrounds too but I like collecting random papers for borders or collage pieces.

@Margothecat Backgrounds are actually easy to paint because they get covered, so small details don't matter! I just swirl colors on the paper, or sponge it on, or press 2 sheets together and blot them. You should try it! I think messy painted backgrounds are the best :)

Just to clarify, these are patterned papers, not ATC blanks (that would be thicker paper)....?

I would love to see a swap with painted, stamped, sprayed, or otherwise altered background papers for ATC's. I don't have enough swaps under my belt to participate in this one, but maybe someone would host a handmade background ATC swap that allows for those with less than 20 swaps!

@indygirlfriend How about a private swap for them? I would be happy to set one up for us if you like. :) When I was new some kind swappers hosted private swaps for me to get my swap numbers and ratings up. :)
