We keep a journal on a daily basis and send it out once a week, whenever best convenient. (Doesn't have to be a journal book, it can be loose sheets attached together per week). Think of something creative ;-) Please write in the comment when you've sent out so we can keep track. With every letter we add a flat item to surprice our partner.

WEEK 1: Extra topic; How are you acustomed to celebrate your birthday? Is that different for children?grown ups? What's your best childhood memory?

Think of a subject you'd like your partner to write about in week 4, be as specific as possible.

WEEK 2: Extra topic: What is your favorite quote, poem, book and/or writer and why? (make this a little indepth why are the characters apeeling, what triggered you to read this etc.) Advise your swap partner to read it (or not) and why. Add the quote/poem, or the ISBN number of the book.

WEEK 3: Cultural exchange (also maybe you can send a flat item of interest??) Tell a little about your country, the people, the area you live in. What's typical for your country? (ie tulips, cheese and a LOT more for the Netherlands)

WEEK 4: You receive the subject from your partner (maybe if mail is slow, post it in the comments here..??)

WEEK 5: Send you partner the YOUTUBE link of your favorite song/band/ music type etc. Explain why you like it so much. When did you hear it first & what special memories are attached?

I should be mailing my first week to you on Tuesday. I think I will mail them all on the following Tuesday. I am usually off on Tues and Thurs, but if I mail on Thurs, it means you will only get journals of my week until Wednesday. No fun! So I will wait until Tuesday, okay?

For week 4, please tell me your two favourite things about having children, and whether you think you will take them back to visit where they are from. And do you try to teach them things about the culture of their country of origin? Also, anything you can tell me about the adoption process. Terneille and I would like to adopt someday.

First week out today. It was a bit hectic this week. So sorry for the late send! Second week should be out on Monday or Tuesday of next week. I'll check out the bday songs when I can use T's computer. Mine needs a software update, so it won't play youtube vids. :(

Oh, good! I'm glad they're getting to you a bit faster than the last time around!

Don't worry. I'll finish up by regular mail. It's not very expensive to mail out as long as I keep the envies a bit light.

When I have a new job, I have an idea of something I want to send you. I'm getting antsy, waiting for the time to come that I can get it for you. Haha.

I changed the end date of this swap as we send our items on every tuesday, after the week is finished. So if all goes as planned our final journal entry should be sent on the 7th, so I changed the closing date to the 10th instead of the 3rd. I m sorry for the mistake :-(

I got the birthday card yesterday! Thank you so much! It made me smile. I love the things you included. They're wonderful. Did I forget to rate you for the last swap? I believe I got everything. It's probably just our silly, backward mailing system. Everything is so slow. I'm glad it came along when it did. I needed cheering up. :)

Sending the last one today. I have been getting lots of messages about late packages lately, so it seems our post office has actually gotten slower! EEK! So I hope these journals get to you soon.
