Description:

USA only swap round 2!

You will have 2 partners, and it's your choice on what to send. This swap is to make someones day. Whether it's just a few words of encouragement, or a profile surprise, I know some days I wish I had incoming mail that put a smile on my face. With one stamp you can make a difference.

A few ideas:

  • funny card

  • postcards

  • note cards

  • stickers

  • coins from other countries

  • washi tape samples

  • positive quotes

  • something that makes you happy

the list goes on, I would suggest to take a peek at their profile and just have fun with it :) You must have at least 15 completed type 2 or 3 swaps. Message me with any questions.

This is a fairly quick swap and I will post another one soon just in case you may not able to participate in this one.

Um I do know in my state of Michigan they are very picky about putting items into envelopes. I do know they charge more than a 46 cent stamp. Did you all know that we now have to pay an extra 20 cent postage stamp so our envelopes don't go through those machines and get bent or torn. So bulky (tea, coins, samples...) will require 17 cent extra postage. I do plenty of mailing so I know all this.

Westmichiganguy is correct. Costly, didn't know it was just Michigan only. Thought it was all over. I was going to question our postmaster as to why the packages I receive cost less than the ones I mail. Guess I know the answer now. Thank you. But I will still join.

An extra 20 cents has always been needed for any envie that is thicker than 1/4 inch. However, most postal workers just use personal judgement on it rather than measuring. So it can seem very random what goes and what doesn't. Also, if items shift during mailing so they all bunch up and make one spot in the envie more than 1/4 inch thick, no matter how it started out when you mailed, it might get returned to you. Or just mangled in the equipment and lost!

It's 20 cents for non-machinable and lots of times I put it on just to protect the contents....

@westmichiganguy you don't have to include anything extravegant, the extra 20 cents is for non-machinable items, but keeping it under 1 oz with flat items is fine if you do not want to include the 20 cent stamps. The above list are just examples of what to add you don't have to add them if you do not wish. It's just to put a simple smile on ones face :) A note will do just fine.
