Are they to be sent "naked" (written on and posted)? or in an envelope?

What's an ATC postcard?

halfpintspec85 04/20/2013 #

"naked" and written on please And an ATC postcard is basically a 4x6 ATC instead of a 2.5x3.5, if you do decide to do an ATC postcard please put it in an envelope so it makes it through postal services!!!

I think it is just a handmade postcard. :) If it isn't 2.5x3.5, it isn't an ATC.

Once I participated in a couple of ATC swaps, though, where we sent ATC as a part of a postcard - a handmade postcard with an area of 2.5x3.5 marked for cutting off. Cheaper to send than in envelope, that was the idea.

I'm confused! When I first signed up for this, it was because I thought there were simply no restrictions on the type of postcard you could send. But after reading the instructions several times, it seems more like you're supposed to make a postcard (What to do:). Which is correct?

Yes, you have to make it of some kind. Just not a store bought card. It also looks like you have to have a theme of something with the letter A.

halfpintspec85 04/26/2013 #

Yes the theme is anything that begins with the letter A and you have make your card. This is not a store bought swap.

Another, probably stupid question. It says "paper", so does that mean you can't use posterboard? I'm so freaked out by my mistake in joining this swap, but am going to do the best I can! Just want to make sure I'm doing it right.

Yes use sturdy paper like card stock or poster board is fine.
