Description:

I recently did a swap for my grandfather while he was in the hospital and the get well cards and postcards made his day! It was crazy, his face light up with joy and the ones from Europe brought back old memories since he was in the air force in France.

He now has 12 weeks to live but we hope we can get more time than that with him. He is a fighter and has stage 4 tumor. He's in his late 70's and raised me as a child. I adore him and would like to bring him more smiles and when he does pass, I want to share these letters at his funeral to show other people in his family who weren't there for him that strangers cared enough to send him a happy get well card or postcard.

Send to : Jim Hallock 12484 74th Ave N Maple Grove MN 55369 USA

It would mean the world to me! I am his granddaughter, Amanda.

For your partner, you will have one and you will send this person a fancy written quote that is important to you. Just make it all pretty on a notecard and send! We need positive vibes! Newbies are welcomed.

Oh, I hope your grandpa feels better. I lost my grandma a few months ago. I know how much she enjoyed looking and showing everyone else the cards she received. The timeline for the swap doesn't work for me, but I'll send out a card to your grandpa Jim tomorrow, even if it is only coming from a few hours away. :-)

I've signed up to my maximum amount of swaps so once ive done a few I will definitely join! If its too late for sign up date I will just send one anyway. I hope your grandpa gets better. My grandma is currently really sick. I live in Australia and she is in Serbia. She lived with us for 18 years and we are frantically trying to get a ticket within the month to fly up and see her before its too late. I know how you feel and my heart goes out to you and your family. Lots of love xxx

I'm not joining the swap either, but will be sending your grandpa a card. I miss mine very much, but remember all the good things they taught us. They lived with us since I was a little girl, and have been gone a good many years, but their memories will live forever.

Thank you! Your card will make him very happy!

Is there anything special that your Grandfather collects or any themes that he likes more than others? I may not join swap, but I'd like to send him something, and I'd rather it be something I KNOW he'd like :)

Just dropped a postcard in the mail for your Grandpa Jim. I hope it brings him some joy and distraction. Both of my grandpas were important in my life, and I went through a similar experience with each of them separately when they passed on. Cherish these last days you have with him, as well as all of the memories that you have made together.

Thank you Jillyfish! Breezybealle, he use to live in Europe so he loves to see those post cards, he also loves chocolate and soft treats! Thank you so much, A!
