Last day to signup/drop:October 20, 2013
Date items must be sent by:November 8, 2013
Number of swap partners:3
Description:

For this swap, you will send each partner a hand-made postcard with your choice of theme.

Standard size postcard (you may just a regular store-bought one as guidance for the size); should not be the size of vintage postcards.

This will be a newbie-friendly swap and you are encouraged to experiment and go "crazy" with your latest craft tools, new supplies etc. Any mediums and/or combination thereof are acceptable - however, sticker slapping, as always, is not.

Postcards MUST be sturdy; no flimsy paper. You may, however, use recycled materials like cardboard boxes, cereal boxes etc.

If using an adhesive like Mod Podge, make sure to allow for enough drying time both between layers and before mailing so that your artistic endeavors don't get lost in an unfortunate smudge!

Be sure to only send items that you feel reflect your creative personality and show the time/effort in determining the thought, theme and execution of your postcard.

Nothing crude, crass, offensive etc - you may want to check your swap partner's profile for major dislikes if you can avoid them.

Actual postage stamps highly encouraged but you may use metered postage if necessary.

As always, general group/swap rules apply (see forum).

Have fun & PM me with any questions/concerns.

Please note that the picture for this swap is just one I personally love - it does NOT mean that you're required to pick a vintage theme or follow this exact "style". However, I also ask that you not send something like this, which would not meet swap requirements by any stretch of the imagination:

@sunshinegirl76 - I'm confused as to what you wanted us to look at in that blog post? All of the postcards looked handmade...

I have a question... I work mostly with digital art. I scan various images into my computer then manipulate them to create a sort of digital collage that may or may not include various, interesting looking fonts, etc... I then have them professionally printed as postcards (or wall art, etc).

Would this be appropriate for this swap?

Hand made: made with the hands or by using hand tools.
