Vertical Postcard Swap - January 2014
Swap Coordinator:iamnothisgirl (contact)
Swap categories: Postcards
Number of people in swap:45
Location:International
Type:Type 2: Flat mail
Rating requirement:4.95
Last day to signup/drop:January 6, 2014
Date items must be sent by:January 10, 2014
Number of swap partners:2
Description:

As I've been collecting postcards I've noticed that the majority of cards I receive are horizontal (wider than taller). So I was thinking that I would like to "even" out my collection with some more vertical cards (taller than wider).

The swap is simple - just send one vertical postcard to each of your two partners. Cards will be sender's choice and should be sent naked (i.e. written on and stamped) unless your partner requests otherwise.

For this swap I will request no handmade postcards.

Update December 6th - due to some flakers in two of my recent swaps I am removing the Newbie option and upping the rating. If this means you no longer qualify for this swap, but would really like to participate, please PM me and I might make an exception (we all have to start somewhere)!

I prefer mine in an envelope and unwritten on, please.

Can anyone verify if these postcards need additional postage? I would think as long as the back is horizontal, it shouldn't matter to the PO if the front is vertical. Just want to have a clear understanding.

I think they should only need extra postage if you address and write on them vertically. The picture on the front does not matter the address part does.

The only thing about these postcards is that the front image is vertical. It DOES NOT cost any more to send these cards.

I know from experience that if you write the address vertically...it costs more! But if the front is vertical, and you write the address normally horizontal it does not cost more. I was told that when you write it vertically it has to be specially handled and can't just be sent through the machine so it costs more.

The only thing about these postcards is that the front image is vertical. Write on them like you would any other postcard.
