Description:

This will be the group's first type three swap, as it's a time-intensive journal swap. You will be keeping a journal from the time of partner assignment (January 11) until your journal is full. Your journal must have at least fifteen letter-formatted entries, and those entries must be at least one hundred words long or longer. The journal itself can be any size or design. If you want to type it, you can, but please print and fold it into a journal-like design, and staple it for binding. For each of the first fifteen entries, there will be a prompt below that corresponds (if you choose to write more than fifteen, although it's not required, you can write about whatsoever you like). PLEASE send on time (or you'll be rated a 3) and please rate your partner their earned 5 if they have followed all of the guidelines stated above, and followed the journal prompts.

  1. How my last year went
  2. My hopes for the upcoming year
  3. What I did today
  4. What I wish I did today
  5. What I'm looking forward to
  6. How I keep myself going
  7. My favorite person
  8. My favorite hobby
  9. The place/room/building where I spend most of my time
  10. My favorite inanimate object
  11. My happy place
  12. What I think about in the shower
  13. My favorite song
  14. My favorite quote
  15. My spiritual experience

Sounds super! Definitely joining!

Do we have to answer the prompts in the order given here, or just to make sure we wrote a letter/journal entry for each prompt?

Hollycarole92 12/23/2013 #

@ioana The idea is to answer the prompts in the order given.

What do you mean by "letter formatted"? Just start entries with something like "Dear....", or anything else? I wondering how the journal and the letter format are really supposed to go together.

Hollycarole92 01/ 1/2014 #

@LilCowgirl - Yeah, just format it like a letter with a salutation, body, and sign off.

I'm interested. As lilcowgirl stated.. Trying to figure out how letter formatting and journaling go together. I can get the journaling aspect of this. Simple enough. Figure I would just write this into one of my Field Notes books or other Cahier type. 15 subjects would mean around 40+ pages. The letter "formatting" seems confusing. More like making a book of letters.

Just my .02

@d2photo Yes, you have the right idea. Basically making a book of letters.
