should we check our partners profiles?

neauxla 06/19/2008 #

i would, mainly for dislikes and allergies. and maybe an extra or surprise!

Hazelette 06/19/2008 #

ok. how do you ship a glass jar?

neauxla 06/19/2008 #

wrap it in bubble wrap, or in a small box surrounded by crushed newspaper or tissue paper.

how is a small pickle or mayo jar a mini whimsy?

neauxla 06/20/2008 #

i had to change it since someone else is doing a mini whimsey jar swap and she asked that i change mine bc it was so close to hers.

Mayonnaise jars come in plastic, too. One wouldn't need to worry about breakage in the mail. Steelebabee you are a very kind swap coordinator. I'm surprised you needed to change the guidelines for this swap. I'm still learning.

One thing to consider, since wildflowertea has already pointed out the availability of plastic jars: They don't weigh as much either... cheaper postage!

BTW, peanut butter and jelly also come in plastic jars-- but make sure your partner does NOT have an allergy to peanuts or peanut oil as there may still be traces of it even in a "clean" jar.
