Description:

Send one recycled postcard to one partner. You may create a postcard from the front of a greeting or note card or reuse a postcard that has been previously mailed by adding a new address page. Blank postcard address stickers are available on-line from several companies. Stamps with blank postcard address pages are also available. You may also put a back on a new photograph and make a postcard out of it. However, be aware that In the United States any postcard larger than 4x6 requires first class postage (49c) and if you add anything that might get caught in mail cancelling machinery you should probably send your postcard in an envelope. The default way to mail is naked, but like me if you don't want a naked card say so in the comments section.

I'm jealous of American postal rates: inlands in The Netherlands $0,88 (= €0,64). No matter what size as long as it's up till 20 grams.

I can almost go on my bike from one side of the country to the other....

May I ask for a touristy card, please?

can we alter a PC we have and send that?

More details on US PC rates: to get the postcard rate in the USA:

  • it must be rectangular,
  • at least 3-1/2 inches high x 5 inches long x 0.007 inch thick, AND
  • no more than 4-1/4 inches high x 6 inches long x 0.016 inches thick.

If it is larger than 4.25 x 6 " (but less than 6-1/8" x 11-1/2" x 1/4" thick) requires first class postage (49c). Bigger than that and the :"flats" (large envie) rate applies.

Thanks for hosting.

Lady: you may reuse a postcard you have received; you may use the front of a greeting card that you have received; you may use a photograph as a postcard by adding a backing; you may use the front of a paperback book as a postcard; anything you can come up with as long as it can be converted to a naked postcard is fine.
