Now that I've got 10 completed swaps under my belt I thought I'd throw myself in the deep end and host one ^-^

This will be easy and isn't going to cost much, so it's a good place for newbies to start if they have a fully filled out profile - we all have to start somewhere - and I will angel so don't hesitate to sign up if you're worried about getting a flaker.

For this swap we'll be sending our parters ( 2 of them ) everything they'll need to write someone a letter - sort of a 'leg-up' to get the letter started so all they need to do is add the writing and use the included stickers to decorate..

Each partner will need to be sent ::

  • 2 x letter sheets
  • 1 x envelope
  • 10 x small to medium stickers ( so they can make their letter prettyful :3 )
  • 1 x seal sticker ( or any larger sticker that can be used to seal an envelope )

And that's all there is to it ! I told you it would be easy !

All of that should fit into a flat envelope, so this swap is international. If your partner includes extras, or suits the kawaii characters to ones listed on your profile, make sure you give them a heart !

If in doubt of whether or not a charcter is kawaii, just stick to kawaii brands such as Sanrio, Kamio, Q-Lia Season, Crux, etc to save disappointing your swap partner, but if you have something outside of the traditional brands that you're sure is kawaii and is going to be a hit - go for it. Stickers can be one full sheet, flakes, or cut from many sheets - whatever you think will make your partner happy ! :3

This is my very first swap.. I kind of know what is going on, and kawaii stickers and paper is one of my fave things :) I am very excited!

Am I too late to sign up??? I'm new to this and think this would be an easy stress free first swap. Just one question and I hope that I don't sound like a dill but can you make the paper and stickers or do these have to be store bought.. thanks, Kerri

:: okay newbies ::

just in case you don't know, in the top right hand part of the screen there is a box that now has this written in it ::

Swap member options:

* Click here when you have sent your items
* See the partners you send to
* Rate your partners and coordinator
* View participants.

to find out who you mail your swap packages to, click on "See the partners you send to" and a screen will pop up with the names, usernames and addresses of your partners..

( it's a good idea to read your partners' profiles too - that way you can tailor the package to suit their tastes.. you'd hate to send hello kitty letter sheets and stickers to a swapper who can't stand her ! ^-^ )

make sure you include your username somewhere in the package so your partner knows who you are and can rate you ( you can write it on a little card, piece of memo paper or even just print it clearly on the envelope if you forget to include it before you seal it up :3 )

also, make sure you RATE your partners when they send to you - we all like to know that our packages have arrived and that our partners liked what we chose for them ^-^

Well I'm not sure what the protocol is but just a quick update to let everyone know that I've packaged up the Kawaii set and will be posting them off tomorrow. Is this ok, or do I have to wait till the send date to post them off?
