Collage Goodies Swap

oh, my ideal swap!

how full is 'full'? that's sort of a relative word and i don't want to send too much or too little.

I would say about 25 items or so. Also, there are no 5X7 bubble mailers so I have changed the size to 4X8. Do we all agree?

When I first saw this I thought it was for making a collage of the british comedy trio called The Goodies!

Of course. Are they 5x7 bubble mailers? Anyway, larger is always permitted and manilla envelopes will do also if that is what you have. When I looked on ebay it appeared that there were only 4x8 and 6x9 bubble mailers. What I hate the MOST is no-sends. I hate Kawaii, that cutesy hello kitty stuff, but would rather get that than nothing at all as I really just like the fun of anticipating and receiving something in the mail.

I was just trying to keep the swaps kind of small to lower the risk if one of your partners doesn't send to you. Maybe we should just say at least 25 items. If you send 5 buttons, that would 5 items.

Now that I've signed up for the swap, how do I get the names and addresses to send the stuff to? Tannermom

Right! ABOUT 25 items is all you need to send however you choose.

I have an idea that maybe you could use another time. Make the collage items corrdinated by color. We all have favorite colors that we regularly gather. I would be fun to get a set of totally different colors to work with. It would give someone else a sampling of 'our color' and it would be nice to have a 'set' of items that coordinate. What do ya think : )

I can't wait to do this swap! I love scrapbooking and because I am from the Czech republic there aren't many possibilities to get stuff for my hobby. I'll be thankful even for the dollar store items such as stickers, rub-ons (especially alphabets, i love those :) and cute ribbons! Thanks.

Count me in. I love this type of swap. I'm not particular really. I love it all, but I have this thing for ephemera and game pieces.

I think I read this a little too tired this morning. I work night shift, that'll teach me. I didn't realize this is 3 swap partners. At this time, I don't have time for this. I will participate the next time. I have so many swaps to do this next month.

I love any vintage or antique ephemera most, and old game pieces, but I use everything and anything for collage.

Sent mine out today and while waiting my turn, I was praying not to get the mean grouchy postal clerk. Of course, I got him. One package was for Canada and when I asked for the cheapest way, he said 4 to 6 weeks. Very snotty guy. Naturally, I did not select that option, so don\'t worry Ottawa. :-) The only problem I had was with the size of the envelopes. We need to do this with larger envies next time. As I was building them, I was a happy camper, but when I tried to cram it al, I had to remove 1/2 of the stuff. What a disappointment! Next time bigger, please!!!!!!!

I sent me 3 packages out today- 2 are international to Japan and New Zealand, so they may take a little longer than regular u.s. mail... but they\'re on their way.

I got my first package (from New Zealand) on Friday.....but a friend picked it up for me and i couldn\'t open until yesterday!! Soooooo exciting! Loads of lovely stuff....so much to look at and it was such fun arranging it all to take a photo for this site!!

Using my powers of detection, I think I've received my 2nd package from tokyocowboy. Came today and is wonderful!! Lots of really cool, fun, interesting stuff inc. old photos. What a treat. Today I received an envelope of goodies from OLA HRADECKA in the CZECH REPUBLIC. Thank you so much for the goodies. I arranged them by color and plotted and planned arrangements as I pulled each one from the envelope. What fun! You made my day complete.

I'm getting worried about my packages, no one has come back on here to say they received them yet! Are there people who don't come back and give a rating? I sent from Pennsylvania to Washington, Alaska, and Finland, maybe they didn't arrive yet, but I would think at least the Washington one would have. I picture a tiny plane landing on a lake in the middle of nowhere once every three months to deliver the Alaska mail, just like in the movies, tee! hee!

By the way, those packages went to Twisted Fluff, Tiiamaria, and Kimworm right after the sign up date, so watch for them!

Hi Jewels, Sometimes people don't come back and leave notes. I do it to keep track for myself right when I get a package. That way when the ratings come up I don't have to try and remember if I got all my packages. I just look back here. Works for me!

Hi all - I haven't received anything yet :( - I know one person got a package from me, anyone else?

I haven't received anything yet either, SamSpice, nor have I heard that any of mine were received. The waiting is the hardest part, tee! hee!

For the record, this is the last swap I host where I will be lenient with bad swappers. We had 8 no-sends with this swap and that is unacceptable. If anyone with no more than 1 no-send or a feedback rating over 4.5 hasn't received anything yet, please contact me through swap-bot and I or a volunteer angel will send you a little package. Understand that this may necessitate sharing your home address with a third party.

I wrote it here into the comment section and I informed my partners that I unfortunatelly sent late. If informed I myself do not give a 1. Lancea, its on its way. The other two of course, too. I left one 1 rating but I had to cause this partner doesn`t inform me, ignores my messages and it is marked as not sent.

And now I see she has deleted her profile. Oh, well, guess its not gonna come at all then.

I received two wonderful packages right on schedule. I see the third person has not sent. Anybody know what the problem is, how long should I wait before rating, did not receive?

This swapper says she will send, but you can go ahead and rate her a 1 (as a warning to others) and change it when something arrives.

I'm glad you liked your stuff! JennaPerry was one of the other people I had sent to and when I sent it her daughter had left a message to say she was sick, and when I checked again it said she had slipped into a coma. I hope someone wouldn't lie about that, but that gives an explanation.

Sadly my package from craftygirl never came - it says it was sent. I've said (in the ratings bit) that i don't want to rate at this time......keep hoping it'll come and i don't want to give a 'bad' rating if it was sent!

Sad but true. My partner Jenne Perry had such a low rating and now isn't even a member of Swap bots. Wish she hadn't been one of my partners it makes me sad to receive from the other two and not three. I sent three. Hope swap host goes through the list next time. Iam tired of being stung! Rosalie
