Description:

The ABCs of HM PC swap is one (1) handmade (HM) postcard (PC) to one (1) partner that features one (1) letter of the English alphabet (maybe someone will do this for Chinese, or Cyrillic, or Greek, or other alphabet?). The entire alphabet will take us about year to complete, but at the end participants should be able to bind their cards into a book. That means all the cards have to be the same size and orientation.

The size is 4 inches x 6 inches (10.2 cm x 15.2 cm) and the orientation is landscape. The swap's featured letter must be on the front of the card in a way that makes it obvious. This is also so the final book will have a consistent look.

The fifth swap is for the letter S. The first in the series was for Z, the second was A, third was for M, the fourth was for Y. We are doing the alphabet out of order. We are artists. We can be crazy.

This is an international swap. Please make sure your postcards are suitable for "naked" mailing (no envelope) anywhere in the world. Please make sure you do not use plant materials in your design since some countries will not permit such material through customs.

Swap is open to those with complete profiles, at least 3 completed snail mail swaps with corresponding ratings, and a desire to have fun playing with the alphabet. PostMuse occasionally make exceptions when she knows folk from other mail enthusiast sites.

If you miss a letter, no problem. The coordinator can help you find someone who would love to set up a private swap to help you with your collection. Or, perhaps you might consider joining the Handmade Postcard Club here on Swap-Bot and post a request in the forum. Or, wait for one of the "make-up" swaps later in the year that will be an open swap where each person requests a letter s/he may have missed.
