Description:

The first in a monthly series of "unusual materials" for ATC’s.

BEADS

For this swap, you will create an ATC using BEADS.

An example of this would be melted pony beads, seed beads or other size beads glued together, wired together or on a base so that only the beads are showing - and it measures 2.5 x 3.5.

You will then create your ATC using any theme you want on this beaded base.

The list of materials for the rest of the series is listed below in case you want to work ahead.

Burlap

Clay (air dried or baked; piece of broken flower pot)

Cloth (stiffened or attached to a sturdy backing)

Duct Tape or Electric Tape (colors and patterns welcome)

Glass (plexiglass or regular glass from old picture frames)

Metal (aluminum foil as long as it is thick enough to be sturdy or on a sturdy backing)

Paper/Cardboard (typical ATC)

Plastic (old containers or bottle cut up; plastic picture frame that comes apart)

Screen/Mesh (from old screen door)

Wire (chicken coop wire, crafting wire, wire from ribbon not being used)

Wood (like balsa airplane or think piece of plywood)

I encourage everyone to join all 12 - for an exciting change in the world of ATC art.

I find it very helpful if, when you post the next in the series, you add the link to it the comments of the previous swap. Otherwise I find myself missing them. Pretty please?!

I would be happy to - if I can get someone to tell me how :) and do you mean the comments on here? Like this one? or all the individual comments?

Sorry - that request is a first for me... but I love learning how to do new things... :)

Michellegarrette - I think this will be a blast... looking forward to the challenge and the end compliment of ATC's. I hope you join in!

I love the ideas in this series. I wish there could be a regional USA one.

These sound really fun! I shared the link with the cross stitch group I'm in, too, because there are some beaders there.

If you are wanting to link to future swaps, once you have it set up then copy the address line and here in a comment type: [ burlap] ( paste the url address here) but without the spaces I've left

Well, when you make up the next swap, post the link here. When you do the third, post the link in the comments of the second. And so on... That make sense? And yes, as per @EmilyT it is very helpful if the links are active as she has described. But barring that, we can always find it on your profile page.
