Description:

Hello friends! This swap is for those who would like to travel from their postal boxe and learn about other cultures around the world!

For this swap, you'll have to do 2 steps :

First, select one touristic place (or monument) that represent your country worldwide, a WELL KNOWN attraction (for exemple, Eiffel Tower for France or Liberty Statue for the USA). You send:

  • A keychain or a magnet from that well known place (it's senders choice, but you can also check the profile to see if the receiver have a preference)

  • A postcard showing that place

  • A letter (at least one page) to explain your choice and facts about the touristic place.

Second, select a beautiful place (or monument) UNKNOWN out of your country, a treasure not very known from tourists. You send:

  • A postcard from that place, or a picture (good quality, not self-printed) if there's no posctard from there.

  • A letter ( at least 2 pages this time) to explain your choice and facts about this non-touristic place.

In brief, you present 2 places: one well known and the other one unknown. If you want, you can also send a flyer or something else, but you don't have to. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to send me a message!

No flakers please, this is my first swap hosted and I want it to go well! Minimum rating: 4.9 This is a quite expensive swap, please make sure you can afford the shipping. Only one person per country, please write your country in the comments when you sign in.

Have fun! :)

This is confusing to read first you say send something from a well known place then you say the opposite. What gets sent?

I edited it, I hope my explanations are more clear starhiker!

Lovely idea :-)!

K4kookiez: an unknown place is a place where tourists don't go, only the inhabitants of your country know that place! Is it more clear?

I can't join since my country is taken, though it sounds like a fun swap! Just to try to help clarify (or get clarification myself!) -- I think the host means to send a keychain/postcard/magnet plus postcard from and letter about a popular or "touristy" place from your country, AS WELL AS send a postcard/picture of plus letter about a place from your country that's more "off the beaten path" or known only to locals.

(Is this accurate?)
