The Joy of One: monochromatic color swap

I'm in love with making postcards and envelopes! For this swap, create a postcard using ONLY VARIATIONS ON ONE COLOR.

Mine will most likely be green, just because I love green! So I might use mint, sea foam, olive, forest green, grass green, and kelly green. All are shades and tints of green, so ONE COLOR. If you want to put small accents of white or black (say for outlining) that is fine, but 95% or more of your piece should be various versions of the one color you choose.

Make a 4 x 6 or bigger postcard. When I do postcards, I like to imagine that the receiver will frame them as little works of art - keep that thought in mind. :)

This does not mean smack a stripe of blue on a piece of cardboard and ship it off. It means you will CREATE ART utilizing the many hues of the one color of your choosing. FULLY DECORATE your piece. No stickers - use paint, pens, pencils, to create a beautiful monochromatic piece.

Try to use at least four shades of your chosen color.
