Edited: Envies can be a little larger than 4 x 6 inches , but not smaller please

I want to make some envies....Nothing over the top. Just something fun and useful. In The Postcard Place that @TerryF and I run we often host swaps that call for postcards to be sent in envelopes. So...

  • You will have 1 (one) partner

  • You will make 5 (five) envelopes. Google Link to several templates.

  • The envelopes should be made out of thick paper (or should have a liner)...options are old calendar pages, magazine pages, scrapbook paper, etc.

  • NO embellishments...these should be cheap and easy to mail.

  • No need to make a place for addresses.

  • Envies should be well made, no torn uneven corners. And should be 4 x 6 inches. (If you would like to go crazy and send other sizes you can but those will count as extras. The swap is for 5 (Five) 4 x 6 inch Envelopes. EDITED - Envies can be a little larger than 4 x 6 inches, but no smaller please

  • Pack the envies so they do not get bent/torn/or otherwise destroyed on their destination.

  • This is sender's choice...(however looking at your partners dislikes is always a nice idea).

  • Enclose a note with Group/Swap/User Name as well as Date.

  • Communicate if there is a problem.

  • Questions/ Comments/ Concerns? Just Ask.

I sat down and made a bunch of envelopes using a couple of templates I already have (one purchased, and one that looks like I printed it and glued it to heavy paper...don't recall). As I was folding and gluing, I noticed the size didn't look quite right. They are actually 4 (and a little bit) by 5.5 (and a little bit). The fit a piece of letter paper folded into quarters. Is this size appropriate?

If not, does anybody have an actual 4"x6" template they can email me??

I am sorry I didn't see it sooner. The reason for the 4 x 6 was to accommodate postcards.

I guess I should have said 4x6 (or larger) just not any smaller. I bet your envies are lovely though. If you would like to host a swap for smaller envies I would absolutely join though.

( I will edit this swap to say 4x6 or slightly larger).
