Yes, this sounds fun, especially as the colors mixes can be anything!!! My favorite color is... if I have to choose... RED! Just the basic red!!!

And I'm going with . . . you guessed it : lime green!

my favorite color is purple, like a nice deep rich purple, not pastel or lavender (though i love the scent of lavender.) This sounds like fun. i can't wait.

My favorite color?! How so hard to chose as I love all colors. Since I live with all boys, I will chose pink--just the normal every day color of pink. These matchbox swaps are so much fun!

I am a lover of jewel tones, deep rich magenta, burgundy, eggplant, aubergine- these are the colors I wear + black. I find earth tones soothing, but with splashes of color. My bathroom was newly decorated by a friend, she picked the colors and it is birght cheerful blue, purple and dark grass green. My living room has sand colored walls, is shabby chic with shade of burgundy floral upolstery. My room is vibrant with all shades of purple. I just LOVE color!!!!

my favorite color right now is a turquoisy light blue, i think maybe it is called aqua blue?!? I'm not really sure, I know it when i see it, but you guys can't read my mind so...I hope you all understand what color that is...if not that's ok...I just love bright colors!!

Well, I wouldn't mind a double dose of my color! If you post a second choice, your partner can accomodate that choice but if you don't, it could be a double dose of your color. I'm sure either is fine -- we're just having fun here! :)

So, I guess I should add that if you're worried about receiving a "double dose" of the same color, feel free to add a second choice color.

Lily Lemon, I am so sorry. I was just thinking about how colorful it would be to have two different colors. It isn't a problem to drop from your swap, if you'd like. I didn't mean to step on any toes.

Oh, Willowtree, you misunderstood me completely if you think my toes are stepped on! :) Let me restate it : if you want to list a second choice because you see that others have the same color choice and you're worried about it, that's fine. If you wouldn't mind "double dose," you don't have to post a back up color. If everyone wants to, we can all add a second choice if we do feel it's more fun to have two colors (which I agree with!).

So I'll say : lime green is my color. If your color is also lime green, teal will be my second choice. (Only resort to teal if lime green is also the color you've listed.

My favorite is definitely RED. Red as in cinnabar (think deep, luxurious red) more than fire engine. But any and all reds are fine with me! :)

I posted my colors above, couldn't pinpoint just one so my SWAP buddy can choose the color scheme based on what I wrote. Although Iw ouldn;t want the bright blue and green of my bathroom. Thanks for clarifying!

Hey, ladies! Just a few things on my mind:

1. I'm going to Mexico tomorrow. I'll be back late on the 15th, so partners will be assigned late on the 15th (swap-bot won't assign partners until I eliminate bad swappers (which looks like it won't be an issue) and click "assign partners."

2. Newbies, welcome and thanks for filling out your profiles. I've found that the more info you put in your profile, the better your partner can specialize her swap to your tastes. For example, if you say teal is your fave color, we know to get you teal things. But if your profile also says you like chipmunks and knitting, we'd know to get you teal chipmunk stitch markers! So, if you get a chance to add more info, it would really be great!

3. As a newbie, I was banned from a swap for being new while swappers with 7!!!!! no-sends were allowed in. I believe in innocent until proven guilty, so I welcome newbies. My greatest concern would be in eliminating slackers, not newbies. All our swappers signed up for this swap are high quality swappers, so I don't think I'll need to ban anyone, thank goodness. Bad swappers need not apply!

4.Once you receive the swap sent to you, please, please thank your partner. I've put time and effort into a few swaps, only to receive absolutely no acknowledgement from the partner. Remember to say "thanks!"

I wouldn't worry if the colors seem like an odd combo -- we're just having fun here! The odd combinations are the fun part. My combo, by the way, is an awesome one (I won't say what it is since that would give it away).

I see that some new swappers I let in are now receiving low ratings that were posted after I allowed them in. I wanted to let the rest of you know that I didn't deliberately let no-senders in. Also, maybe the swaps they sent are still on the way to their recipients, as some people rate immediately without waiting to see if packages are coming from abroad, etc. So, try to give others the benefit of the doubt. On the other hand, if you have no-sends, please make an effort to rectify the situation. It makes me (and others, I'm sure) very nervous to see swappers with low ratings in our swap.

I hope my partners understand that their packages are coming from Australia, so they could take longer than others........How do we know who our sending partner is?

You don\'t know until one week after the send date or when you get your swap -- whichever comes first. So, about one week after MArch 15th (the 22nd), partners will have a chance to rate their partners. If your partner hasn\'t gotten the swap from you at that point, courtesy dictates that she send you a message asking if it\'s on the way. Since you\'ve posted here that it\'s coming from Australia, hopefully she\'ll rember that. But, it still might get there before MArch22.

If I don\'t get a swap and it\'s time to rate I will email you. I will also give 10 to 14 days from send by date to rate you. :)

If you don't get a matchbox (or if you know you're going to flake because somthing came up), please let me know so I can get everyone taken care of. I feel personally responsible that everyone in this swap have a good time and get a good swap!

When you get your matchbox, send a message to your partner and/or post here. I'd like it if you'd post here because then I can doublecheck that good swap fairies have taken care of their swappees. In some cases, I already know your partner isn't sending and a volunteer is filling in. In those cases, I want to know the swap has arrived so that I can publicly thank the good swap fairy since you won't be able to thank her through giving a high rating. Does that make sense?

Okay, ladies, one week until the send date of March 15. I always think it's nice to send it early enough that your partner gets it before the swap ends (of course, that's just wishful thinking)! When Requiscat (I think that's the name) deleted her profile, OrcaSong sent to her partner, Kristina O. SerenityRae22 is the only new problem but I've already had two offers from swappers to be good swap fairies if the need arises. I'll contact them or take care of SerenityRae22's partner myself (I sprained my neck on Tuesday and I'm moving a little slowly, so I might let the swap fairies take care of it for me). I'm on top of it! :)

Okay, I've contacted a swap fairy about SerenityRae22's partner. Hopefully, it's taken care of. If anyone else notices something like that, please send a message to me (instead of posting here)since I check my messages more frequently than I check the individual swap pages. I'm making it a personal goal in all swaps I coordinate that everyone gets taken care of but it helps me to do that if you ladies are in touch with me.

Also, I hope you're thanking your partners when you receive your swaps. In some cases, the person sending to you isn't even your "official " partner and is fairying your swap so you don't get left out. You won't be able to rate your swap fairy with a 5 plus a big fat heart, so the least you can do is acknowledge her by thanking her here on the swap page.

Okay, today is the day to send and I still see a few "not sents," on the list so I hope they're going out today. There was a whole month to do this, so there shouldn't have been a problem getting them sent out on time. The exception would be the swap fairies who weren't notified until later that they were doing an extra matchbox.

I see a few people still haven't sent. Please do so! When it comes time to rate your partners, if a swap fairy sent to you, don't forget to give the assigned partner a 1 -- even if profile is deleted. I think it's important to get the rating in the system so that if the swapper creates a new profile, there's a record of the bad swap behavior in the original profile. With the new "bad swapper" forums in the yahoo group and the forum here, there are more ways to rat out someone who is a bad swapper, deletes a profile, and tries to start over with a new profile. Thanks, ladies! :)

Binkylou, Michelle H, Michelle, and OrcaSong are still marked as "not sent." OrcaSong is a swap fairy for KristinaO. and she didn't find out until late in the swap, so that situation is understandable. If Binkylou, Michelle H, or Michelle was supposed to send to you, please message them. If no response, go ahead and rate a 1. There was a month to do this thing and now it's a week past the send date. If they can't get the matchbox out in five weeks, maybe they need a 1 rating to get them moving.

If anyone hasn't received from anyone else, the list says everyone else has sent. So, just message to let them know it hasn't arrived. If your partner is sending internationally, it may still be on the way (although, when I get an international partner, I send right away to give it time to get there.)

Yes Michelle was my partner and I still haven't received anything - I was thinking I would get one soon after the partners were posted since I was messaged about my color pick and everything :(
