Description:

You will create one postcard for one partner that features a cut-out, like in the picture. Take 2 pieces of paper and draw, stamp, or stencil an image on one piece, cut out the middle or middles, if its got multiple images, like leaves, etc. and stick the paper with the cut-out securely over the other one. Feel free to use scrapbook paper, junk mail, magazine images, etc for the background pattern. The sky's the limit, just keep in mind postal regulations regarding size. Please make sure to indicate the swap name and your username on the finished postcard. Please let me know if you have any questions.

You could also use a die cut machine or punch to make your cut-out and draw, paint, or stamp around it. :)

For anyone concerned about the cut-out part, you could cover it with clear packing tape to make sure it is secure to go through the postal machines.

Just thought of something else...if you just cut out four squares, you could make a window and draw a window frame around it and use a magazine or book pic of what you see through the window behind it! That could be looking into a house or building or looking from the inside to see the outside...the possibilities are endless!

Just a note that Nov. 11 is a federal holiday here in Canada, so my swap, although mailed today, will not be postmarked until tomorrow, Nov. 12. (";)
