Description:

This is a swap for all the people who have a nice little postcard stash, be it for swapping here or via postcrossing or whereever.

For this swap, you'll have 2 partners and you'll send them 5 cards each. The cards can be art, photographic... really anything but ad cards.

Postcards from those postcard books are fine. You do not have to tailor to profiles (although you can if you wish) as the idea is that these cards will be reswapped anyway! Therefore, please be aware that you may not get cards you love. Although I would hope that no one would send cards they wouldn't want to get.

Cards MUST be UNWRITTEN as the idea is to give people something new in their stash to send. They all go in an envelope.

This swap is international.

This swap is open to newbies who have a full profile, and any rated swapper with a rating of 4.5 or above.

Edited to add: Please stick to storebought cards. This is for fairness, a level playing field. I may do a homemade card stash swap later on.

Not sure I understand "view cards are up to the receiver - please leave comment below." The description also says we don't have to tailor to profile. The first statement does seem like we are required to send what the receiver wants.

I hesitate to join if we have to send to preferences because some folk are incredibly particular and I don't have access to a wide variety of cards.

Hrm, that's a good point. I was worried though about people saying "What am I supposed to do with a view card of....".

I'll take it out I think, and leave it random.

Looking forward to this fun swap. If anyone is interested in other postcard swaps I'm hosting a few. "Halloween Spooksville Fun Mail Postcard Swap" (International and U.S.) http://www.swap-bot.com/swap/show/20560 "Cats, Cats, and Meow Cats" (sorry U.S. only) http://www.swap-bot.com/swap/show/21702

Are handmade postcards acceptable?

Frogglin 10/14/2008 #

@paflip25 , not in this swap. Not because I don't like them (because I do) but because of the time involved in making them.

I'm glad. Thanks! I was going to drop the swap if they were acceptable because I only like store bought ones and have received a lot of crappy "handmade" ones lately.

i agree with paflip25, is so amazing how they will put stickers on a piece of paper and call it handmade, as if....
