I LOVE FALL!! It's my favorite time of year!! 🌻The leaves look like they are on fire, pumpkins in all their wonderful shapes and colors, (and pumpkin flavored everything), scarecrows, bonfires, gourds, corn mazes......

This is a Fall, not Halloween theme swap. 🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁 These are similar to regular pocket letters except you cut your pages horizantally into 3 strips. You use one for this. Put a 2.5 x 3.5 Fall theme card into each pocket. 🌻You may collage, paint, stamp, draw, use digital, etc. or any combination. 🍂I like to use pretty digital images sometimes and decorate the outside of the pockets so my partner can re-use the images if they like. You may use stickers as accents in addition.🍂 Please don't just use stickers only. 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻 Use a pretty paper as well on the back so it looks nice from either side.Tuck your goodies in between the papers. Put small goodies in at least two pockets. 🍁Tea, cocoa, washi, earrings, die cuts, unused postage, small or unmounted rubber stamps, pretty ribbon, stick on gems, tags, etc. are just a few ideas. The possibilities are endless. 🍁 Tuck a short or long note in one pocket.

Feel free to decorate the front of your pocket letter as well.🍁 They are even prettier if you do. These mini's are easier to fit into a standard size #10 envelope, or however you choose. 🍂🍂🍂🍂🍂🍂🍂🍂🍂🍂🍂🍂🍂🍂🍂🍂🍂🍂

One partner- One letter - Sender's choice!

However please consider your partner's profile. If they have a fear of fuchsia trees with polka dotted leaves, please use something else. 🍁 Remember if you wouldn't be happy to get it, Don't send it out. All group rules apply. I doubt I will need to ban anyone, but I reserve the right to do so. 🍁You must be rated for 5 type 3 swaps. Any questions, please ask! I will be checking profiles.

Pinterest and YouTube have lots of pocket letter photos, ideas and tips.🍂

Photo is not mine it's cropped from Pinterest

I have a question regarding the use of pretty papers on the back - I typically add a backing paper to the front papers I use (I glue on a pretty back) but this doesn't create a pocket, so to speak. It just looks aesthetically pleasing when the PL is turned over. Is this acceptable vs. creating another cut out for the back side? I find that doing this tends to make the letter look a bit shoddy and adds bulk.

I use it and I really like it. I use paper usually and not cardstock, which hides the goodies. To me it looks messy in the back when you have things in the pockets unhidden. I often store the things given in the pocket. However if your partner has no problens with it neither do I.☺ Thanks for asking!

Horizontally or vertically, either is fine? You mention vertical but show horizontal... But it made me think a vertical one might be cool...

Sorry! I meant horizontally!! However I agree vertical would be cool, and they could hang from a peg for storage! This is for horizontal this time. Good idea for the next time! I will edit. Thanks!

I found a YouTube the other day where you make actual pockets that were made for a mini PL. That's what I plan to use and it will look decorative on both sides that way and it hides the goodies without anything falling out. She even showed you how to make your own envelope with measurements. I loved it!
