Description:

This will be a recurring postcard swap with each swap focusing on a different letter of the alphabet. We'll start with A and work our way all the way to Z.

You will send one postcard, written and stamped, to each of your three partners, for a total of three postcards. Each postcard should be related to the designated letter. For instance, you may send a postcard of an alligator for the letter A, or a postcard of a door for letter D.

You don't have to send the same card to all three partners. Example: You could send postcards of a boat, a bear, and a beach for the letter B.

You can also send a card that is less obviously related to the letter - just make sure to explain to your partner why you chose the card. An example is that I may send a postcard of Illinois for the letter H, because I consider Illinois my home (which starts with an H).

Postcards can be store bought or Zazzle-type. Just make sure they are of good quality. It is sender's choice, but it's always nice to check your partner's profile for ideas.

Don't forget to include the swap name and your username so your partners can rate you!

If you receive a quality postcard related to the swap's designated letter, your should rate your partner a five. Hearts are given at your own discretion.

The swap is open to anyone with a 4.99 or higher rating, including newbies with a well filled out profile and at least one rating. I do reserve the right to remove a participant if I have reason to believe s/he may flake. I'll also angel, so let me know if you don't receive your card.

For this swap, the letter is G! Here are a few ideas to get you started. Feel free to share your own ideas in the comments section.

Hi! Quick question: It is stated in the directions: "Postcards can be store bought"... does this mean that they can also be homemade - if quality paper and proper postal sizes are considered and followed?

nsciambi 02/16/2017 #

Store bought excludes homemade. Sorry! Thanks for asking for clarification.

nsciambi 02/16/2017 #

I hope you'll be able to join anyway, RiverTopanga!

Hi nsciambi!

Thank you for clarifying.. wasn't sure where it said "can be", not "has to be". A little disappointed it can't be homemade... But will still enjoy the swap anyway! I look forward to it! Thanks again!

Yay! I'm glad you are joining the swap! I will try to remember to make sure to make the wording clearer in future swaps.
