Description:

I love making ATC’s but hate cutting the blanks. I often make a lot of blanks ahead of time and use them when I need them. I also love paper of all sorts. Putting two and two together I decided to host an ATC blank swap to exchange interesting blanks. You will be swapping 30 different standard size ATC blanks with 1 partner. Every blank must be of different paper, no repeats, no basic white. You may include a few solid colors (basic card stock), but please limit them to under 5 blanks. We are shooting for interesting designs and papers like Asian, hand made, scrap booking, ephemera, ect. They don't have to be of cardstock thickness. Because this should be a fairly light swap I am making this international. Who knows what kinds of wonderful cardstocks and paper we might get from over seas!

Yikes! It's great to see so many folks join so early in the swap. I can't wait to get started and this really looks like it will end up being wonderful fun! actually just finished cutting my blanks. Can't wait.

Just joined and can't wait! I just finished cutting mine, also!

Maybe I shouldn't have put the end date so close to Christmas. I could set it sooner depending on what everyone would like to do. Didn't consider that it would be fairly easy to get a set together.

so they have to be card stock weight? its hard for me to find some :( I do have lots of unique papers and handmade paper. I wish I could of joined :(

@fiberfriend1 "They don't have to be of cardstock thickness." I understood, that papers are good, too.?

breccamerie 11/10/2008 #

It's mainly about the paper. They don't have to be cardstock. I figure we are crafty enough that once received we can glue them to card stock. I tend to do this anyways because I can't always find the papers I want in card stock. I hope that clears up some questions.

ok, thank you! ^__^

COOL! I'm relatively green about ATCs so I'm always interested in learning what seasoned ATC-ers use :D Paper...is addictive...just too many darling prints XD

OMGosh! Look at all the folks I pulled into this madness! I can not believe there are that many folks interested in swapping blanks. This is going to be seriously fun!

Oh, this is great! I would LOVE to have a bunch of papers pre-cut ... and different papers than I have at home.

Wow, this is a lot of folks. I guess I will have to run this one again after the holidays. Didn't know that ATC blanks were in such high demand!

Everyone has a collection of neat papers that they want to both share and add to, I suppose. I have some really cool ones to offer!

Another cool idea that I do is to get some white cardstock and glue some napkins onto them! They turn out beauiful! I use Mod podge glue and pretty napkins. (You have to peel back the first pretty layer of the napkin). They turn out awesome ;)

Just to let you all know, i have been running a series of these swap since august!! I am currently on number swap number 4. Maybe I am not advertising them enough of some of you didn't see them?

I have a question, does anyone else cut their ATC blanks from magazine or catalog pages, I have been doing this for some time and hope that is what is meant by ATC blanks

mamajoy 11/21/2008 #

Anything that makes a nice background for ATCs would be welcome. I've used pictures from magazines of color and/or pattern. Also: collaged, painted, stamped, fabric, etc. I'd be happy with any of the above, not just papers and cardstock..

asylumgoddess 11/21/2008 #

I like to use the pretty notecards I receive with my swaps. I've actually started selecting nicer notecards to send out so that others can do the same. I've got to try that napkin idea. It sounds really cool!

bluecrayons 11/21/2008 #

i use magazines, ad books, postcards i get and don't particularly like. papers you get in motel lobbies advertising places local. maps from rest areas. pretty much anything that is attractive and i like. :o)
