Description:

This is a swap for a lovely package for our daughters/granddaughters, girls of all ages. It will be a scavenger hunt swap, in which we'll track down one item from each of 8 categories to send to our partners' daughters.

The swap will be US-only, as these packages can get a bit heavy on the postage. I have to be very tight on my requirements, as we don't want any girls to be disappointed. You must have a 5 rating, no no-sends, and at least five actual item swaps under your belt.

That said, let's have fun!

Here are the 8 categories; you can be creative about how you fill them, and get your daughter involved in brainstorming and choosing items for the package!

  1. Something in your partner's daughter's favorite color.
  2. An art or craft supply.
  3. Something small, soft, and cuddly.
  4. Something handmade (by you or someone else).
  5. Something that lights up.
  6. A book.
  7. Something miniature.
  8. Sender's choice category.

Once you have collected your items, you can pretty up the presentation if you like, and be sure to label each with their category! And don't forget to include a note!

Please note in the comments section below the age of your little girl, as well as her favorite color and any other info about her likes and dislikes, favorite crafts, hobbies, and collections.

and p.s. I will angel this swap--but I have faith it won't be necessary!!!

What is the dollar amount that should be spent? before shipping

leahsimone 11/ 7/2008 #

Hmmm. I hadn't considered that. I would say it's hard to put a dollar amount, because you may be able to creatively fill a nice package without spending a great deal. I'm honestly not sure what dollar amount...but I'll think about it some more and get back to you here.

My little girl is 4 yrs old. Her fav color is blue. She likes so many different things from girly, girly princess stuff to toy cars and tractors. We think she is very well-rounded. This sounds like lots of fun!

My daughter is 6, Autistic, and loves to get mail! Her favorite color(s) are red (at the moment) and always goes back to yellow. She loves the idea of a dotee doll so if someone would like to make her one she would be very excited (just not any beads or charms please) she tries to eat them. Her favorite craft is coloring and cutting paper and fabric. She loves loves loves anything that is cute and girly. Please don't send food type items for her. She has alot of allergies and too many to list.

What an awesome swap idea - thank you for hosting!

My daughter Lily is 5. Her favorite color is pink, she loves to stamp and use stickers, she is learning to read now in Kindergarten and has caught on quickly. She loves all princesses although Meg from Hercules is her favorite. She loves purses and hair pretty's but she doesn't have long hair. We adopted Lily from China when she was 8 months old and she loves talking about it. Her full name is Lily Grace Yao - she thinks it's pretty cool to have 2 middle names. She loves Ni Hao Kai Lan, Strawberry Shortcake, Hello Kitty and anything that is girlie and pretty. If your stuck on something, please just email me for details.

She is going to be so excited to get a package in the mail.

Oh, I guess I should leave info about my daughter! Ella is nearly 8, she loves purples, blues, and greens. She loves to draw and work with beads, Fimo and Sculpey, and does paper cutting and origami. She is really into Tolkien (is reading The Lord of the Rings), and as a result loves elves and mythical creatures; loves comics books like Archie and Donald Duck; is a bit of a pack rat and collects all sorts of things--china animals, little bags and purses, stuffed animals, amigurumi...also loves hair accessories (she's quite vain of her waist-length hair, LOL!) and big-girl items like lip gloss and nail polish and jewelry.

All that said, though, she loves to get a present and will be absolutely delighted with whatever you send to her! I'm not just saying that, either.

My daughter is 14. She really wants to do a swap! Her favorite color is pink or purple. She loves markers and crayons. "Cute animal" coloring books, Small stuffed ducks, eyeore, tigger, teddy bears, kangaroos. Hard sweet candies (spree, sweetarts, razzles) Seventeen magazine, Teen people, etc..maybe instead of a book. Black nail polish, trial size bath and beauty stuff.
