item 2: your choice of any single new item from this list:

  • spool of thread in a color to match/compliment the FQ

  • 3 skeins of embroidery floss

  • a package of pins or hand sewing or machine needles

  • a card or package of buttons

  • seam ripper

  • tape measure

item 3: two tea bags or cocoa packets

item 4: one surprise item: (suggestions?)

  • hand made sewing item (needle book, pincushion)

  • orphan quilt blocks

  • storage container or organizer

  • treat to have with the tea

  • ribbon or trim

  • sewing embellishments

This is the category where I hope you'll be creative!

Checkout your partner's profile for ideas.

Here are the nitty gritty details:

You must have completed and been rated for ten or more type 3 swaps. If you have unresolved 1's sorry, you're out. I reserve the right to bump out questionable swappers.

All FQs must be 100% quilting quality cotton, clean and unused. Please send fabric that you would be proud to swap with your best sewing buddy and not fabric that you know that you would throw in the trash if you didn't feel so guilty. Same goes for everything else. If you don't want to get junk, don't send it!

If you don't have the time or money to assemble and mail your swap ( $10 tops assuming you don't have to buy everything ) then please don't sign up.

If on the other hand, this sounds like fun and you'd like to share your stash and can't wait to open your goodies, welcome aboard!

Please sign up and then post here to introduce yourself and your color preference.

Suggestions? ideas? Post them here!

If you have questions, please ask. I would rather have questions now than misunderstandings and hurt feelings later.

Hi everyone! I am a traditional quilter living in the midwest. I like to make old fashioned patterns using contemporary fabrics. I love rich colors and fun prints. I recently discovered miniature quilts, using reproduction fabrics. Right now I am most in need of neutrals (off-white, beige, tan, taupe, etc), and a new seam ripper. I am forever losing them. :) I like plain black tea and cocoa.

Hi, I'm a crafty hopper ( hop from one craft to another, good at most but not an expert at any, miserable at crochet and knitting) and live in the Houston Texas area. We are ok, no water in the house unlike so many others. I love fabric with text, bright colors, rich jewel tones, cute animal buttons, crochet edgings (probably because I can't make them myself!), I love hand made pincushions, hand dyed wool, I need some brown thread, any shade. I like black tea, flavored or straight up and cocoa. Thanks so much!

Hi everyone, I am mostly a traditional quilter. I love all colors except gold that is like mustard. I do occasionally use a very small bit to enhance a design but it is not my favorite. I love all trims, buttons, and embellishments. I'm not much of a tea drinker but cocoa is yummy:) I recently splurged on a $10 seam ripper that removes the threads for you and it's Purple. You can never go wrong with purple. LOL! Thank you so much!

last but not least...that's me in a nut shell. I love light and medium purples and dark greens. I dable in the quilting arena, and spend most of my time at a full time job, and scrapbooking (if time allows). I'm not a big tea drinker, but I do love myself a cuppa hot coco! I tend to make use of everything sent, and will pass it on if I cannot. :)
