Description:

This is a get-to-know-you swap for our group.

We'll each have 1 partner and send a favorite photo, along with info about the pic -- where/when/how we took it, why it's a favorite, etc.

YOU choose the size -- and also if you want to send more than one photo, as it may be hard to choose just ONE.

Photo taken by you can be current or an older one --

Photo must be sent in envelope to protect it, no photo postcards as they often get wrecked in the mail

This is an international swap - so if your sending partners are from a country other than yours, please allow sufficient time (maybe longer than just 2 weeks) for your swaps to arrive. Of course, please check with your partners before rating, if time goes by and no swaps come - thanks!

About the postage stamp pictured above: Scott 3649q

37c "Age and Its Symbols" stamp

Masters of American Photography issue commemorative stamp, issued 13 of June, 2002 by USPS

Imogen Cunningham (1883-1976) was a prominent modernist photographer during the 1920’s. Cunningham is best known for her realistic black and white photographs of scenes from nature, but she also photographed for Vanity Fair during the 1930’s, and was also part of the group of prominent photographers that referred to themselves as f.64. This group contained artists such as Ansel Adams, and felt that photographs should contain more focused images.

Thanks for joining - partners assigned, have fun! (Note: since it’s late in afternoon as I’m assigning, I’ve moved mail date to next mailing day)
