What is a picture postcard?

Would it be alright to use one of those colouring post-cards, coloured in?

yes, you can certainly send a coloring PC - you can either color it yourself, or send it to your partner to have some fun with it!

a "picture PC" just means it it NOT one of those blah plain beige-colored PCs, with NO picture anywhere - -

if you can find on that shows off your own corner of the world, that would be wonderful!

Hi! I'm brand new to this swap bot website and i was wondering how i pick partners? how exactly does it work?

partners are randomly assigned, by swapbot - the day after the signup deadline, the host (me) will have a link to click, that will assign them- I do not actually assign the partners, it is donerandomly, as I wrote.

after I check people's profiles (to make sure you have one), and then you will have a link in your "yellow box" - at the top right corner of your swap page. to see who you send to...a link will also appear, about two weeks after the mailing deadline, for you to rate your partners.

Are we allowed to make homemade postcards with images on them? Or should they be store-bought?

Zarfy, if they can be mailed in the "normal" post office, with a postcard stamp.

You must check with your local post office, or postal carrier, to find out. If you cannot get an answer, then use a "purchased" postcard, with a picture on it...maybe a scene from your own corner of the world, perhaps?

partners are randomly assigned the day AFTER the swap deadline, or soon thereafter - - I have been busy checking profiles, so that prtners can be assigned right away.

Newbies - make sure your profiles are complete and filled in! I am checking, and yes, in order to stay in the swap, this must be done!

I have always said, "when I open your profile page, I should have to scroll down to read it" - -

I'm so angry you let @Capricorngal22 in! I sent you a message telling you she's trouble and yet she's in, I pity her partner's 'cos I tell you, she's gonna flake the s*** out of this swap!!!

Also I just read your message to me about her behaviour, aren't I glad I'll never be joining your swaps again if this is how you "check" people. Shame on you, shame on you!

She has swaps due since January, her profile has nothing in it, she doesn't reply to messages which she has read but deletes profile comments asking if she's ok and if she could kindly rate people for swaps she's received.

Unbelievable. You're one of the worst hosts I've had in a long while and I've been here for years. Shame on you.

I messaged about Capricorngal22. Seeing as I will not be sending to her, I will send a second postcard to my other swap partner instead. I cannot send to the other one since she has no address, and is not participating on swap-bot for months.

This terrible thing is my fault, yes...I accept the hurt and bad thoughts I seem to have generated. Please, is Capricorngal is your partner, do NOT sent to her...and I am sure you will not receive anything from her.

While I am very happy to angel the swap, and will send you a card from my beautiful part of the world, I know it does not make up for anything.

I tried to reach out to her, and did receive a response, that she had been thru some terrible life event...I did not realize it was likely untrue.

I am so very sorry this happened, and that it has caused such a painful backlash.

I had two huge swaps going, and also ended up in the hospital last week, that lasted until this week...that is no excuse, and I'm not trying to use it, but I have tried very hard to not miss some important details...unfortunately, her response bought her just enough time to remain in the swap,...

for that, I accept the responsibility, and offer my extreme apology...

I realize that you may never join another of my swaps, and for that I am sorry, but I do hope this has not soured you completely about this wonderful hobby...

@mdrywater If you're on the page of the swap, in the right corner you'll find a linkt to the adresses of the partners you send to. Just click 'see the partners you send to', under 'swap member options'
