PW ~ Armor of God, #2 Breastplate of Righteousness

I know that it has been quite a while since I have put up this series, but I was having computer problems last year and I replaced my computer in December. Anyway,

This will be a series of 6 based on the Armor of God.

Each piece of armor of God is symbolic to a spiritual truth that we need to clothe ourselves with.

This is the 2nd in the series based on the Armor of God. We will be discussing the Breastplate of Righteousness.

"Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm." (Ephesians 6:13)

You should read Ephesians 6:10 - 6:18.

{Breastplate of Righteousness}

"Stand therefore, …having put on the breastplate of righteousness," (Ephesians 6:14)

Here are your questions:

1. What does a breastplate of armor protect for a person?

2. God is more righteous than any being in the entire world. Psalm 11:7 says, "For the Lord is righteous, he loves righteous deeds, the upright shall behold his face." What does righteous mean? (Hint: if you are unsure look it up in the dictionary).

3. Since God is righteous, how does that make you feel about all the wrong in this world?

4. Look up each verse and explain why this verse matters concerning the breastplate of righteousness?

   a. Isaiah 64:6

   b. Romans 1:17

   c. 1 Corinthians 1:30

   d. Jeremiah 9:23-24

   e. 2 Corinthians 5:21

5. How can I apply this to my life today?
