Description:

I donโ€™t know about you but I love music for how it can help to tell a story with other art forms (fine art, dance, etc), both externally in the story and internally with characters.

For this challenge swap, create a soundtrack for a film, book or TV series (either in existence or one you wish existed). Include at least 15 tracks, and an explanation of why you think these songs would fit the themes and/or mood of the piece (reference specific scenes if youโ€™d like!), as well as a small excerpt of the accompanying film/book/tv show that your soundtrack helps depict. Try not to use only one musical genre and think about the flow of your soundtrack.

Rate a 5 if you receive the above. Give a heart if it comes with a linked playlist (Spotify, YouTube, Vimeo, SoundCloud, etc). Make sure to include your user name and the swapโ€™s name in the subject.

No matter what, have fun. Newbies welcome, no 1โ€™s in the last year. If you feel you should be exempt, PM me prior otherwise Iโ€™ll be forced to ban you.

Giving extra time since this can be a very particular type of project and some of you may wish to do more research (eg, reread your favorite book, rewatch a tv season or film, etc., before assigning tracks). Please PM me with any questions.

A great article about how music helps accelerate emotion for better contextual understanding in film/tv.

Wow, this is harder than I'd thought. I'm realizing that I had imagined using bits and pieces of the same 8 or so pieces of music to do the whole movie! I'm working on it, though. :)
