Description:

Send your one partner an envelope with three Linen postcards. Linen postcards have a raised texture and were popular during WWII. They were printed from the 1930s to the early 1950s. Despite their named I don't think there is any fabric in the paper they are printed on. You can send stamped and mailed cards but they must be excellent condition with a nice stamp, otherwise send good quality unused cards. Three cards. One partner. Enveloped. International. Sender's choice.

There are 3 main paper textures produced today. The vast majority is Smooth (or ultasmooth). In a somewhat distant 2nd is Linen and way behind is Laid.

While some fancy papers are produced with some amount of cotton, I don't think linen (or rather, flax) has ever been a main component in modern paper manufacturing. Linen refers solely to it's texture.

While it may not be cost effective, getting modern linen postcards printed wouldn't be hard at all.
