Number of swap partners:1
Description:

PLEASE NOTE: Well-established folks ONLY (50 or more Type 2/Type 3 swaps completed). I changed the settings to an automatical rating of 4.96. If you wish to participate but your rating is too low, please contact me and I will check your profile and decide whether or not to let you in as well. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ PLEASE NOTE TOO: do not ad a new card as long as you still have a card to send out that belongs to someone else. Lately I do receive envies with more then one card (that's okay), but then there is also a brand new card added to join this swap. I have also been contacted about this by other participants. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Wouldn't it be great to send a postcard and see where it had been all around the world? Then get it returned back to you after its adventures were over? Let's do it! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST ROUND:

Choose a card. A card that you think people would enjoy seeing (however, PLEASE DO NOT USE EXTRA LARGE POSTCARDS THAT WILL REQUIRE EXTRA POSTAGE!). Put your name and address (including the country!) on the right hand side of the card. Put the title of the swap ("Adventures of the Traveling Postcard") and your screen name at the top of the left hand side. PUT IT IN AN ENVELOPE and send it off to your partner. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

IF YOU PARTICIPATED IN THE PREVIOUS ROUND(S):

Just write your name, username, city, state/country, on the left hand side of the postcard you received in the previous round. Put it in an envelope and send it to your partner! (DO NOT WRITE YOUR ENTIRE ADDRESS ON THE POSTCARD - THIS TAKES UP TOO MUCH SPACE!) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hang on to the postcard(s) that you receive in each round. We will have another round each month. Sign up when you receive yours from the previous round, start another one in rotation, or contact me, as I may have a postcard that needs to be put back into rotation as well! When the left side of the postcard is filled up with the names and cities of those that have received the postcard, the last person will stamp your actual postcard and send it back to you. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

IMPORTANT:

1.) Please don't send more than 3 cards per round. Hang on to the extra ones and send them in following rounds. If you have too many, please contact me.

2.) Do not ad a new card as long as you still have a card to send out that belongs to someone else. If you do receive a newly started card as an 'extra' card, please let me know.

3.) Before sending out the cards to the next person, do check if the cards belongs to someone who is still participating. If they are not, please contact me about it.

4.) If you decide to stop the swap, please contact me so you can send your received cards to me and I can keep them in rotation.

5.) Do NOT send the postcard back to the original owner until the left side of the postcard is completely filled unless instructed otherwise. CHECK TO MAKE SURE YOU'RE NOT SENDING YOUR PARTNER'S CARD BACK TO THEM AS PART OF THE SWAP ROUND YOU'RE ON.

6.) Do not destroy, bend, write on the front of, or ANYTHING else that destroys the integrity of the postcard. Treat the postcard how you would want yours treated.

7.) Do not send huge cards! It requirers extra postage! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Well-established folks ONLY (50 or more Type 2/Type 3 swaps completed) and I will ban if I feel that you may be a questionable swapper. I want to do my best to ensure that everyone receives their postcards back. So don't join if you don't think you can commit to it for the long haul. I will be checking EVERYONE'S profile and will ban anyone that I feel like. Thanks and happy swapping!

LunaCass 07/13/2019 #

Would it be OK to add a stamp on the first round while adding the name, address, and swap name? That way when your postcard does get filled all they would have to do is mail it off. Thanks!

ReLigt 07/15/2019 #

@lunacass I wouldn’t recommend stamping it as it is an international swAp and the person who mails it home may not be in your country. It is a nice thought, though.

paperboats9 07/16/2019 #

I'm sending @fbresnah s postcard home :)

Hi all,

Please check the cards you have before sending them on: is the person the card belongs to, still active in the swap? If not, please send the card back and don't send it to your assigned partner for the swap. If you have doubts, please feel free to contact me about it.

Coss 08/ 2/2019 #

FYI- I was never rated for round #90, even after contacting the assigned partner. So I don't know if it was lost in the mail or what. Sarah C- it was your card with Greetings from Arkansas on it.

lynnpinkdaisy 08/ 2/2019 #

PC coming home for @biphobe Sending @aisbaby PC back to her; inactive since 2018. Traveling on PC for @vickyen

ReLigt 08/ 3/2019 #

Sending on a card of @weatherwax This card had a long delay - started in round 44, consistent through 49 then next round # is 90! Don’t give up, your card might be out there somewhere! Next stop for this card is also in my state; I don’t think that’s happened before!

Jafferty 08/ 5/2019 #

Sending on two cards (about 1/2 full) to Kathy Watts (SC) and Charlotte Huntley (Wisc). Neither card has their user name on it, which I find helpful.

When people post updates on this discussion board only their user name is listed, unless they say who they are. So if they ask me to hold their card and get their new address, but their card doesn't have a user name (only real name and address) then I have no way of knowing except in cases where the user name is the same or close to the same.

TexyDeb 08/ 7/2019 #

I have not received #90. Notifying that partner today.

earthnk 08/17/2019 #

Recieved @betrong ‘s pc and will send along in round #92

Gatzcat 09/ 3/2019 #

Received @satishuman postcard. I will pass it along.
