Description:

For this swap, you will send at least three different things that represent what you enjoy or are good at to one partner along with a short note or card explaining what the items are and why you chose them for your partners edification.

Some examples of what you could send are:

  • Enjoys Reading: send books, audio books, magazines, ‘zines, bookmarks, book plates, small gift cards to book stores, etc.
  • Enjoys Music: send mix CDs, magazines, small itunes gift cards, etc.
  • Enjoys Movies and Television: send DVD’s, magazines, theater style popcorn, various popcorn salts, tickets to your partners local theater, etc.
  • Enjoys Cooking and Baking: send books, magazines, recipes, the fixings for a meal, cookie mixes, spice mixes, utensils, small gift cards to department stores or online retailers, etc.
  • Enjoys Wines: send books, magazines, a bottle of wine, etc.
  • Enjoys Certain Places: send books, maps, fliers, souvenirs pictures, a scrapbooked page from a trip
  • Enjoys Gardening: send books, magazines, seeds, pictures, canned items, tools, etc.
  • Enjoys Writing: send blank journals, stories, poems, pens, etc.
  • Enjoys Crafting: send books, magazines, supplies, finished items, instructions, small gift cards to crafts stores, etc.
  • Enjoys Relaxing: Send nearly anything... books, magazines, bath items, pillows, slippers, small gift cards to restaurants, a plush throw, etc.

Use your imagination, and remember to send something tangible that represents what you enjoy or are good at. For instance, you might enjoy your car, but this swap wouldn't work so well if you sent a magazine ad. ;-)

Please remember to include an area on your profile that states what allergies you have so that you aren't sent something that will land you in the ER!

The swap date is set a full month away so that you have time to gather what you need. Since this swap is about what you like, you don't have to worry about what your partners reaction will be, and you can even begin to put your package together right now and send it as soon as you know who you've pulled. You also do not need to spend a lot - used and handmade items are encouraged. Just remember to send a nice package, because nobody likes to get mail only to find that it’s skimpy! Aim to send at least a small box.

Let me know if there are any problems.
