Description:

Calling all lovers of colorful washi tapes.

In this swap, you will use small "snippets" of your different washi tapes and totally cover the front side of a 2 plain envelopes. Covering the back sides is optional. These will become the mailing envelopes for this swap. You can either leave an area to write your partners address, or you can put a label over your tapes (If you choose the label method, you will want to either glue it down or cover it with clear tape afterwards to make sure it sticks to the washi.) You may use any size envelopes; the bigger the envelopes, the more tapes you'll be able to show off. ;)

Your snippets don't have to be tiny. I make mine about 2 to 3 inches (5.08 to 7.62 cm) and then fill in gaps with tinier pieces, kind of like a puzzle.

Any decorative tapes may be used, with one exception: NO duct tape.

Inside each envelope, please include a little note with your swap-bot ID, along with 4-5 samples of washi tapes for each partner to play with. Please give about 21 inches (53.34 cm) per tape sample and wrap it on a shiny surface that will allow it to peel off easily. Playing cards work well. (I tend to wrap 9 times around a standard size playing card, with one side being one wrap.)

Note: I found that some of my tape snippets wanted to peel up on the envelope, so I ended up putting some clear tape on some of the ends to keep them in place.

HAVE FUN!

P.S. This is one of those swaps you can prep before partners are assigned if you want to.
