🗿 Theme: Ancient history (6000 BCE - 650 CE)! Anything from any of those years, centuries and decades is allowed, from any corner of the Earth. Can't think of anything specific because the time frame in question is kind of enormous? Here's some ancient history for inspiration:

  • Stone Age (6000-1100 BCE)
  • History of Mesopotamia (3500-1300 BCE)
  • Indus Valley Civilization (3500-1300 BCE)
  • Old Kingdom (Egypt, 2000-1300 BCE)
  • Vedic Period (India, 1750-500 BCE)
  • New Kingdom (Egypt, 1300-700 BCE)
  • Shang Dynasty (China, 1800-1200 BCE)
  • Mediterranean Antiquity (800 BCE-600 CE)
  • Ancient Greece (1000-146 BCE)
  • Ancient Rome (753-476 BCE)
  • Classical India (230 BCE-500 CE)
  • Six Dynasties (China, 220-581 CE)
  • Late Antiquity (Europe, 300-476 CE)
  • Seven Wonders of the Ancient World

Some interesting people who lived back then:

  • Alexander the Great, the king of the ancient Greek kingdom of Macedon
  • Aristophanes, a Greek poet and playwright
  • Aristoteles, a Greek polymath and philosopher
  • Cleopatra, the last active ruler of the Ptolemaic Kingdom of Egypt
  • Hypatia, a Hellenistic Neoplatonist philosopher, astronomer and mathematician
  • that one carpenter from Nazareth, had a beard, name escapes me
  • Julius Caesar, got stabbed and invented salad dressing idk
  • Pythagoras of Samos, an ancient Ionian Greek philosopher
  • Sappho of Lesbos, an Archaic Greek poet and the reason lesbians are called lesbians to this day
  • Sokrates, one of the founders of Western philosophy
  • Queen Gwendolen of ancient Britain

🗿 Medium: anything goes except sticker slapping and found images with nothing added to them. That's not cool. Put some effort into it and make something you would want to receive!

🗿 Size: The usual 2,5 x 3,5 inches. Please use a reasonably sturdy backing.

🗿 On the back of the card, please write your name/username, date of creation and the name of the swap. Please also add a note explaining which era of ancient history you chose!

🗿 Newbies with at least 20 completed and rated swaps are welcome, but non-raters, flakers or unresolved low ratings are not.

😂 the ONE “carpenter from Nazareth” - that’s a humorous and clever way of mentioning Him without offending others, huh! I like it!

Silly thing is there’s lots of people with the name Jesús and it’s not considered offensive...guess that old adage of “one’s perception is their only reality” forever rings true nowadays. 😔
