Hey friends! It's time for the second Patreon only swap: let's make a flipbook! The following text has all the information you need to know. I overthink everything (duh), so I tried to set some guidelines :p Please know that these are NOT to be followed too strictly! I'd say that on average, the weight of the envelope should come to around 50 grams. Or 40 grams without envelope. But again, that depends on your choices: paper is lighter than cardstock, and washi stickers weigh nearly nothing compared to tea. So please keep an open mind in sending & receiving! :D And if you'd like to ask something you can always do so in the comment section or on Patreon.

The only requirements will be for how "big" your swap should be, but other than that feel free to get creative! Meaning that the type of flipbook is all up to you. A normal one or one with differently shaped pages, envelopes, tags? All okay!

The guidelines are as follows.

  • Create a flipbook. [Size is up to you, but I'd suggest a minimum of 3 pages (so 5 decorated "sides" and the back of the flipbook) and at least 4x4 inches. HOWEVER: if you decide to go for different shapes or envelopes, you can adjust the measurements+pages to that. Don't look at them as strict rules, they're guidelines.]

    • How you make the flipbook is senders choice. [Any type (regular little book/zig zag/ring flip), style, color-scheme or material is allowed, as long as it's fun and pretty of course. You could use paint, inks, tickets, paper, fabric, vintage stamps, glitter, washi, stickers, sequins, wax seals, pens, pencils, magazine clip-outs, die-cuts, doilies, rub-on images, pictures... Well, you get the idea ;)]
  • Include some goodies in or outside the flipbook that match your partners profile. [I always find guidelines for that a bit difficult, but I'd say if you include 4 different "sets" of goodies, you're good. Just an example: 1 tag with 3 washi samples, 1 envelope with 8 sticker flakes, a set of 4 labels (hehe) and a little shaker. But please, feel free to include whatever goodies you like. If you want to include less of each but more types of goodies, that's totally okay too! Again, it's just guidelines.]

  • Write your message on a seperate note, and use correct postage.

So to recap: flipbook style is senders choice, but the goodies have to match your partners likes. Decorating the envelope is optional but encouraged, and don't forget to leave a rating on swap-bot once received! I highly recommend taking pictures, in case the envelope gets lost.

Most importantly: have FUN! Maybe we can share a sneak-peek at instagram? Use the #CraftClubChallenge hashtag so we can all see the pictures :D
