Description:

Pagan celebrations or holidays fall at different times of the year depending on which hemisphere you live on. For this recipe, we will focus on Samhain -
Northern Hemisphere: 31 October–1 November Southern Hemisphere: 30 April–1 May

Every celebration has it's own themes, colors and foods. Choose recipes using foods that are fresh and growing at this time of year and/or reflect the celebration. The swap requirement is to send at least 2 tried & true recipes you use for **Samhain.

You don't need to be a practicing Pagan to join this swap. But, if you do follow a Pagan path and would like to do more swaps like this, please check out the Pagan Community Centre group here on swap-bot. :)

For this International swap you will have 1 partner and should send your partner at least 2 recipes that you make as part of your Samhain celebration. These should be tried and true recipes, such as: Turnips, apples and apple cider, gourds, nuts, mulled wines, beef, pork, poultry, ale, bram brack (dark loaf or cake made with dried fruit), corn, mugwort tea, pumpkin, squash, and colcannon. Just be sure to send recipes you have tried.

This swap is International and flat mail.

Recipes do not need to follow your partner's diet or allergy guidelines - these are tried and true recipes, so it could be difficult to find such recipe that adheres to another's dietary needs and guidelines. Consider checking your partner's profile to see if they have restrictions or allergies on their profile and sending a recipe if you can, but it is not a requirement for the swap.

Please be ready to send as soon as partners are assigned. This is a quick turn around swap.

Who can join? This swap is International and open to everyone world wide. However, your rating should not be below 4.98. If you have 1's or 3's on your ratings, they need to be resolved as much as possible, and you need to have commented to the ratings. It helps hosts and swappers to see you are aware of the ratings, and how you have attempted to resolve the issue.

You must have a well filled out profile! You should have information about your likes & dislikes, interests and pictures don't count for information. No late swaps on your dash.

I try to assign partners the day following end of sign up, by noon (Pacific time in the USA). I try to vet swappers as they sign up and will contact you if I have a question about your profile. If I send a message, I do expect a reply before sign up ends. I leave comments if I ban a swapper from my swaps.

Please remember to rate your partner! :)

If you have any questions or comments please send me a PM directly as I don't check the comments under the swap as often.

And please consider checking out the Pagan Community Centre group!

Some truly magnificent recipes (and images) here. It's like they make modern still lifes.
