Description:

How many ATCs have you made/received? As beautiful as they can be, most are destined for the binder. I have a bulletin board of some of my favorites.

So, let's join a new trend in creating ATPs (Artist Trading Pins) and wear the art we receive proudly!!

Some quick guidelines: Since these will be worn as pins, please keep the size to about 1 1/2" and 3". Any medium is fine, but consider durabililty.

This is an international swap.

Restrictions: Only swappers with 4+ rating, and no more than one no send. Newbies welcome with completed profile.

Let's make one ATP for each of 3 partners, so that's 3 pins to make.

Are these the kind of pins that can also be called buttons/badges, or do you mean something more like a brooch?

squintgrad 04/20/2007 #

Yeah I wasn't thinking something more like a brooch

squintgrad 04/20/2007 #

That is to say, the swap is for a brooch/pin that someone would wear proudly.

I have been waiting for something like this. I really think it could be a new trend!
Brooches don't take too long to make, and can have so much personality!
Don't know if html works in these comments, so I leave it up to you to cut n paste, but here a couple of pins I have made:

Wow fivegallon!

Great use of fibers. I've just started recycling wool sweaters, so I recognized the content of the first one immediately.

These are lovely examples, but let me remind others that the medium can be anything that can reasonably hold up to being worn.

yeah, I've had some laminated paper brooches, that's another idea.

Ok, I'll give it a whirl. :) -PHH

This sounds like fun! I was just reading about art charms today and getting very excited about those. Pins also sound like a similar idea only maybe even more fun to me. So the size can be anywhere from 1 1/2 to 3 inches, right?
