Description:

For every book lover out there!

For this exchange you can do one of two things:

  • One: Use a used bookstore or online used bookstore. https://www.thriftbooks.com/ is a good site.

  • Two: Use Amazon or Barnes and Noble in person or online stores.

Minimum for this exchange is $10; this is enough for 2-3 books from a second hand store or 1-2 from Amazon.

-- Adding note, because I just finished ordering. Thrift Books takes 15$ for free shipping.

Try not to spend more then 20$ on your partner.

Now this is where it might become complicated. You need to find out what your partner likes to read. So to help with that down below in the comments. You are going to post favorite authors, genres, Wishlist links etc.

I will review those that sign up and decide based on profile and comment below if you will stay in the group.

Please rate a 5 if you can see your partner took time to figure out what you like. Give a heart where you think it's deserved.

I can't believe I am having to add this. If I find people are rating "ones" unfairly, 3 months after the swap was sent, are noncommunicative, etc. You will no longer be welcome in my swaps.

I am hooked on Authors like Ilona Andrews, Nalini Singh, Shelly Laurenston, Sandy Williams, Seana Kelly, a few of M.J. Haag's books.

I prefer romance with a twist - i.e: paranormal, sci-fi, contemporary, suspense, and of course wild and crazy...(50 Shades of Gray is pure trash though).

If you check out my profile you can see my Goodreads account and what books I have been reading. You can also always message me with questions.

SO excited for this swap! I updated my profile and this should have some good ideas.

Lisa Regan (I'm reading her Josie Quinn series, but would love to read her other works (like Claire Fletcher or Jocelyn Rush).

I loved Marcie Rendon's book. "Girl Gone Missing" and would love to read the rest of the series.

Paul Tremblay's books were amazing (A Head Full of Ghosts, Disappearance at Devils Rock and The Cabin at the End of the World)!

I loved Debra Webb's series on the Undertaker's Daughter and would love to read any of her other series.

I want to read more about the Amish as well as Indigenous peoples - if you know of any good books or series, let me know (I read Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and a few others, but would love to read more).

Also, I like reading true accounts about the Mormon church (for example, I've read The Polygamist's Daughter).

I really enjoyed Eric Jerome Dickey as well!

I went through and updated my Amazon wishlist, though of course I don't care where they come from, and for the most part I don't care whether they are paperback or hardcover, whatever is cheaper! I am currently back on a Harry Potter kick, so would love a Harry Potter related book from my list, or a fantasy in general, but I also just got a job as a mental health Peer Support Specialist so would love some of the titles related to that as well...I love memoirs, especially related to health conditions or mental illness and overcoming the challenges. My wishlist is

There's a pretty wide variety of stuff on there!

I love young adult books. I love Ridley Pearson books. I am a Disney nut, if that helps.

I am always collecting faery tale collections, but I've also like a lot of YA fiction lately if the point isn't a dramatic love triangle, or something terribly romanticising abuse like the Twilight series. I did like Akata Witch + Warrior, A Girl Named Disaster, and The Darkest Part of the Forest. I also adored The Ocean at the End of the Lane. In adult books, Mythago Wood, the Foundation series...

hnnn a lot of sci-fi and fantasy that doesn't come down to "young orphan boy of 8-12 years old, raised by an aunt/uncle or both, does unusual housework amounts and/or farming before discovering that he is The One, a saviour for a powerful evil, and must now complete the Hero's Journey." Formula is great when giving your brain comfort or just a break! But the formula is becoming grating when ... if it's a male character, it's The Hero's Journey. and if it's the female lead, it's Tragic Love Triangle. It's just boring and I'm tired of it. Anyone got new, better stuff?

Honestly, I am not tied to any one author. If I had to choose at gunpoint it would be Holly Black but I already have the base Cruel Prince series. I'm into just about anything that is fantasy with a female protag that isn't romance-heavy. Use your best judgment I'm always down to try a book once. I'm also trying to get into Jane Austin since everyone and their Aunt Sally swears by how good her books are.

I also really love anthologies.

In terms of actual books, here's my amazon list. (Please if you find it cheaper, get it cheaper or don't get anything from the list and just surprise me I'll be happy either way)

Love this swap! I would love to have any type of poetry book. Used books are awesome. No preference on genre, just not gothic or scary please. Other ideas are books with journaling prompts, positivity messaging, Christian devotionals or even an adult coloring book. I figured I would branch out from my typical romance reading for this one 😁. Can’t wait to spoil someone in the swap with some fun reads and goodies!! ❤️❤️

draco 01/23/2022 #

no romance books for me. i like true crime (non-fiction/with crime scene photos in the middle of the book), classics, ya, horror

Eulegirl 01/29/2022 #

I love historical fiction, fantasy, romance (but not Nicholas Sparks/Danielle Steele), contemporary fiction, history, cooking/food writing, mysteries, dystopian, YA, middle grade novels. I'm an English teacher (9th grade), and I read widely for fun. I like poetry, too, but it's usually hard to find good poetry that isn't the basics (Frost, Dickinson, etc,), and I already have those! And there are so many things I haven't read!

I am not a fan of horror or excessive violence (I mean, I have and do read books with violence in them--for example, Outlander, but I'm not looking for books that are violent/war based). I don't usually do devotional literature.
