Description:

Mail Art swaps are my absolute favourite! It’s so much fun to create something beautiful to brighten up someone else’s mailbox and see what kind of art ends up in your own. Join this swap if you love Mail Art too.

For this Mail Art swap we will decorate our envelopes with a gemstone related theme. Use at least three different mediums (eg. Stickers, washi tape, drawings, paper scraps, markers, ink or wax stamps)

What to put inside...

Include at least a one page letter (A5 size) that could be on letter stationery or in a notecard. Bonus points if the letter paper/notecard is gemstone themed, but not required. In your letter you could write about why you like gemstones/think they are cool, an interesting fact about gemstones, a story you may have or a favourite piece of jewelry. Let’s share our gemstone love with each other.

Also add in one flat goodie for your partner. Could be a sheet of stickers, a writing set, notecard, wax seals, washi tape samples ect. Awesome if it is gemstone themed, but if not gemstone make sure it matchs your partner’s likes.

Don’s forget your username and the name of the swap somewhere in/on the envelope.

If you receive a A5 note about gemstones, along with 1 flat goodie, and it was all delivered in a gemstone decorated envelope please rate your partner a 5 for meeting all the requirements.

This is my first time hosting a swap, if it goes well I think I’ll turn this into a monthly ‘Natural Science Mail Art’ series. February’s inspiration came forth because of birthstones. This is my birthday month so that’s what came to mind. Enjoy!
