Description:

What is more enjoyable then reading a pretty letter as you enjoy a nice cup of tea?

I love writing letters and I have so many pretty letter sets that are just waiting to be used instead of sitting in a dusty old box on the shelf.

So I decided to host a series of swaps, called "A Pretty Letter and A Cuppa". There will be 4 rounds and if you participate in all four rounds you will have written 20 letters in one month. Doesn't that sound fun?

This round is for MAY 16 THRU MAY 20

Requirements:

You will have 5 partners.

One letter per partner.

One letter per day. (Monday thru Friday)

You don't have to mail each day, you can write all week and then mail your letters out on Saturday. It's up to you. I have to drive to a post office to mail my letters since our town has no street delivery/pickup so I will be mailing weekly.

You must use a letter set. A letter set is a matching set of paper and envelope. Usually a letter set consists of 1 to 2 pieces of decorated paper with a coordinating envelope.

Size of Letter set does not matter. I have both 8 1/2 x 10 sets and smaller 5.5 x 6 inch sets so you can use whatever.

Letter must be 1 page both sided or 2 front pages. You can write more if you wish but two pages is the requirement. (see above).

This is not a introduction letter. Pretend as if you already know the person and are just writing to them again. If you need an example of what I mean, see the comments section below. :)

Last but not least, please enclose a factory sealed tea bag in your letter and mail out to your partners.

RECAP:

5 letters -- 5 partners.

Letter set

2 pages.

Not an introduction letter.

Enclose a tea bag

Send daily or weekly, depending on preference/ability.

Example:

Don't send a letter that has a whole paragraph like this:

Hi I'm Jane Smith from Sunnyplace, CA. I am 32 years old and have been married for 10 years to my wonderful spouse. We have 3 kids ages 8, 6 and 4. I also have two dogs and three cats, a guinea pig and 4 ducks. I love reading and watching movies and working in my garden. (ETC).

Instead write something like this:

Hi Kim,

How have you been? Things have been so crazy here. I've been rushing around taking the Benji to baseball practice three times a week. We started Fido at a new doggie day care and he is really loving it. I think it's good for him to interact with other pups.

See what I mean? The first is like you are talking AT the person and the second is like you are already friends and just sharing. :)
