Description:

Hi beginners! Or people who have a beginner’s mind. Freshness, excitement, a new beginning today. This swap is to create any postcard with your choice of paper or fabric or other items! And not to be perfect.

Let yourself play and have fun in this swap.

Use any medium or paper of your choice. You can use scraps or cut out images. Even tear or rip paper. Paint or staple or sew or glue. Try something new.

You may send in an envelope or naked, meaning without an envelope. You may either seal the front of the postcard with gel medium or Modge Podge or other collage glues. Or you can leave that stuff off. Again it’s your choice.

For fabric postcards to international locations, it is suggested to seal very well in an envelope. And you may need to check with your post office as some international mail requires a customs form to be filled out.

Also handmade postcards can stuck in the mail sorting machines when they are not secured well or placed in an envelope. When the post office decides it is non-machineable then the postage is higher too! So you can make it simple if you prefer! Up to you!

Please include on the postcard either side these 3 things: the swap name, your swap-bot user name and the date.

Postcard size is up to you.

Be kind to one another. Rate promptly. Thank you!

I've been having trouble with handmade postcards going missing when I mail them naked, so I think I'll put mine in an envie to be safe. It happened twice on the same handmade paper strips swap! I think machines were eating them.

Yes good idea if you’ve already had that experience twice! Thanks for the suggestion too.

I've had the same experience as @eulegirl so again I'll put mine in an envie.

You are welcome! Thank you to Jean for nudging me to coordinate this one and mentoring me. I encourage others who want to try to lead a swap to step up and give it a go! Maybe we can plan something for after the holidays!
