Description:

Here is the 2nd year that I am doing this Word of the Year zine swap. I edited last year's zine template that you all used so all you have to do is print it, fill it out and decorate as you wish. Then photocopy or scan and print and send to your 4 partners.

This is a practice that I do each year and it will be my 6th year picking a word for the year and setting goals around that intention.

Once partners are assigned I will email each of you the jpg file so that you can print it and fill it out. You must use the template I am providing... because part of the challenge is to see how you spice up the basic layout. :)
Thanks for joining. The photo is the template... but you will get a better copy once you join.

If you leave your email in the comments I can go ahead and send you the jpg.

I am trying to share the file so that you can see it ahead of time. You may also use the link below to print then you don't need to put your email below. :)

Am I correct in assuming that each person selects their own Word of the Year? Or does everyone use the same word, chosen by you?

Thanks!!

@PeliKat You are correct that everyone chooses their own word of the year. You use my zine template and personalize it with the word you have chosen to represent what you want your 2023 to become. Thanks for asking. Anymore questions please ask.

Question @soyprincesa2 I printed from the link in the swap description. Wanted to make sure we're sending a mini mini zine of approximately 2x3 inches. (It's not a full 8.5x11 sheet of paper, which is typical of mini zines.)

The template was small -- a little more than half the page -- and enlarging it didn't work because of the scale. Just want to make sure what I'm going to send is the correct size.

@Artistic First of all.... any size that you print and send is fine. Regarding the template..... did you click on the link that directs you to Dropbox? When I created the document I did it as an 8.5x11 template. I haven't heard from anyone else that it is printing differently. I am not sure how to help you except If I personally email you the document and you can see if that would help. I will try and send it to you now.

Envelopes are dropped in the box for a.m. pickup out to my partners. In a fun swap mailing twist, I have partners who live in Southampton and in Easthampton. Fun.

@soyprincesa2 I found that the layout of the words did not fit properly within the zine folded from an 8.5”x11”. Something was a little off.
