Description:

For this swap you will buy a cheap spiral-bound memo pad (like the super cheap ones that you can buy for 50 cents), and fill it full of whatever you can think of. I'm giving a lot of freedom for what can be in it, but it would be nice to put an assortment of things (For example: quotes, pictures, doodles, random thoughts occurring in your brain).

RULES:

  • It must be at least 40 sheets long.

  • Every page must have something on it. Doesn't have to be front and back unless you want to.

  • Don't censor yourself!

  • That being said try not to be offended by the uncensored journal you receive.

  • You will have a full month to complete this, but feel free to start before partners are assigned. This is about your own personal randomness.

  • You may decorate the journal any way you like, but it is not necessary.

  • You must have a 4.8 rating with at least 5 swaps (not e-mail) completed to join. You also must have logged in with in 3 days of when I assign partners.

What size memo pad? Not a full size 8 1/2 by 11...but smaller?

Smaller than a normal notebook, but I'm not going to be really particular about the size. The one I'm going to use is about 4 1/2 X 6 1/2. Anywhere around there is fine.

This is freakin awesome! I've been altering notebooks quite a bit lately so I will be decorating the front, back, inside and out of mine. Cool idea. I am actually hosting a few altered notebook swaps if anybody is interested. Happy altering!

I've been wanting to join in a journal swap for ages. the larger journals are too intimating for a first journal swap. This one is perfect! I can't wait to get started & to see what I get in return ^_^

Would a spiral bound pad by 6 x 4 be ok, or is that too small?

6X4 sounds just about perfect for what I was thinking of for this swap. If you have a small notepad lying around that is not spiral bound I think it will be okay. I just said spiral bound because I was thinking of a specific type of notepad that is very cheap. Just to make everything clear, this is NOT an altered notebook swap. You can decorate your notepad any way you wish, but it's not required.

Love the freedom of the randomness and the fact that its mini makes it quick and easy to fill a smaller book with things..and not a killer on postage since it seems to keep going up....
